WILL A PASTOR STAND FIRM FOR GOD ON THE LARRY KING SHOW?
self | 6/20/05 | self

Posted on 06/20/2005 6:35:25 PM PDT by Skyleader

I have been watching preachers on the Larry King show this week. The current preacher refuses to call sin sin. Larry King asked the current guest if homosexuals and those who have abortions sinners. "I don't know. I just don't go there." Incredible. A previous well-known guest a few days ago refused to call Islan evil.

My Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we ;must be saved."

If you will notice, the name of Jesus is carefully avoided.

Am I the only one who's spirit is heavy after seeing this on tv?

That's so sad. He's no pastor if he can't stand for Jesus on tv.

There is no other mediator between God and man except the man Christ Jesus. There is NO other way to heaven. For a religion to proclaim contrary to Scripture is a false religion.

The question is whether or not Larry King is willing to feature such noted pastors as Alistair Begg, Charles Swindoll, Greg Laurie, Franklin Graham, D. James Kennedy, or R.C. Sproul.

These dedicated men stand for and on God's word. They are not concerned about whether or not they'll be accepted by society. They are governed and measured by Christ' authority, and not man's.

LOL. Very true.

Dont trust those who reword the Bible and sell it back to you. Churches and Bibles are free.

I watch Joel Osteen. He's inspirational but I've never seen him as a bible teacher like Charles Stanley,RC Sproul,DJ Kennedy.

If you can't take a stand on homosexuality, you're not somebody I would learn about G-d from, period. If you choose modern political sensitivities over the word of G-d, you are not really religious, period.

The question is whether Larry King would want to feature such noted pastors since those guys do frequently come off pretty brash

I'm sorry to say it but Joel Osteen is going to get a larger audience, because he's not going to push it in anyone's face. Of course so many are going to call that rejecting taking a stand for the truth, but somehow I don't think Osteen cares what those people think.

Ahh you're killin' me Cy.... :)

I actually REALLY like this man, it would take WAY too long to tell the whole reason(maybe on FReepmail later or tomorrow), but he has honestly changed the way I live my life in many ways.... I'm very thankful I came across him while channel surfing at 3:30am, on one of my REM-less nights... :o)
