"GOOD! but I thought he was a cub scout..."

Praises to the Sovereign!

But I don't think he was a Cub or Boy Scout, just visiting with friends who were....I could be wrong again, though....

Amazing. I'd heard that his parents had told him if he got lost to find an open space so he could be spotted by air. Don't know how they found him, but in situations like this what the kid has been taught is what makes all the difference. I always give my kids a refresher course before taking my kids into the woods.

How can the media circle the wagons around hillary if they are distracted by the great news that this boy was found.

I hope it will be the 'run away scout' version! LOL.

Yes, let's make him pay for the search. After all he was the one that got lost.

I felt this one a bit close to home.

Yes, me too. My 14-year-old is with his troop for a week in the Black Forest. Whew!

Great news! I think his survival chances as a scout were better than if he had not been one.

Search Continues for Boy Scout in UtahTeams Search for Missing Boy Scout in Utah

KAMAS, Utah — A volunteer firefighter told FOX Tuesday that a missing Boy Scout has been found alive in Utah.

Searchers in the area where Brennan Hawkins () was located said he had no major injuries, however it could not be confirmed.

The 11-year-old boy vanished from a Boy Scout camp in the Uinta Mountains () on Friday.

Earlier Tuesday, swift-water rescue teams brought in longer poles as they searched a swollen river for Hawkins.

Summit County Sheriff Dave Edmunds said earlier that the boy's chances were good because nights had been warm, with temperatures falling only into the 50s. The area is about 100 miles northeast of Salt Lake City.

Officials said Brennan disappeared somewhere along a dirt road between the camp's artificial climbing wall and the "chow hall," where he was to meet his friend. The East Fork of the Bear River () is within 100 yards of the road.

The normally ankle-deep stream is the main focus of the search and the most problematic for rescuers because it's deeper than usual in many areas — up to 15 feet deep in spots — because of a heavy mountain snow melt.

Brennan carried no food or water, and his family said he did not have a good sense of direction.

"He's probably dehydrated, sleep-deprived, definitely hungry," said Brennan's father, Toby. "With him being so young ... I don't think he's thinking about what he needs to do to survive, because he's never been in that environment."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
