(snip) > I love how some FReepers believe putting a P.R. speech into context is propaganda: "CNN has not completed a fairly effective if formulaic set of pre-speech programming, intended to twist people's minds so that their mental filters interpret the President's speech as bogus," one person writes... I am not even sure what that quote means, but whoever commented on it makes it sound like a negative. (I only post this because it mentions FR, not because I want to be banned. The site I linked to is read by the media "inside" crowd).

It's a mystery to me, too. Maybe the "not" in the quote is intended to be "now," so it reads as follows: "CNN has NOW completed a fairly effective if formulaic set of pre-speech programming. . . ." Just a guess.

I'll tell you what's amazing to me is that all the libs whine that the President needs to explain to the American people what is going on in Iraq, Then as soon as he does suddenly its a PR propaganda.

They are so screwed up in their heads they can't even see their own hypocrisy.

I just noticed that just below the comment I excepted above is another that states: "A blog commenter says: "Er...I think I've heard this record before. Over...and over...and over...again."". This is very deceiving because the link is to Captain's Quarter's blog and the quote is from one of the comments (from an obvious 'playa hater' of U.S. policy) to the "Captain's" article (which was very postive of Bush's speech). Why quote it? It's like taking a scribble off of a bathroon wall and attributing it to the Company that resides in the building.

The media has been saying that President Bush doesn't communicate well enough to be president. Tonight, he gave a great speech that will be very effective in communicating to any who are willing to listen. Their new comments are just sour grapes and an attempt to keep his leadership from being effective.
