Call your congrescritter....
Border security is not an immigration matter.
It's not a law enforcement matter.
It's a (Expletive deleted) NATIONAL SCURITY MATTER - and the US Government has been an abject failure in it's duty to protect our borders...and not one party or the other is to blame - it's the whole damn lot of those congresscritters, and the rest of federal government to blame.

They are talking to U.S. investigators. Say they have relatives in San Diego and were trying to get to them. They met smugglers in Tijuana.
