Democrats' own mood poll scares them
Washington Times ^ | 6/29/2005

A poll on the political mood in the United States conducted by the Democratic Party has alarmed the party at its own loss of popularity.

Conducted by the party-affiliated Democracy Corps, the poll indicated 43 percent of voters favored the Republican Party, while 38 percent had positive feelings about Democrats.

You probably have to give it another 3 points on top of those numbers just because of the bias of who was doing the polling.

MORE ABOUT THIS POLL . . .

"The country is just in a foul mood," says Democratic strategist James Carville. He cites a new poll from Democracy Corps in which 56 percent of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Democracy Corps provides public opinion polling and strategic advice to Democrats. It was cofounded by Mr. Carville and Stanley Greenberg, who served as President Clinton's pollster.

THE LATEST DEMOCRACY CORPS SURVEY, CONDUCTED JUNE 20-26, FOUND THAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE "NOT DOING VERY WELL," Mr. Greenberg said at a Monitor breakfast.

Some 43 percent of voters said they had warm feelings about the Republican Party, while only 38 percent had positive feelings about Democrats. "Republicans weakened in this poll ... but it shows Democrats weakening more," Greenberg said. He attributes the decline to voters' perceptions that Democrats have "no core set of convictions or point of view."
http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0629/p02s01-usmb.html

You read correctly, Carville and Greenberg's own poll indicates that, yes, Republican job approval ratings are down (including the President's) BUT the Democrats' ratings are down MORE!!!!

POSITIVE (WARM) FEELINGS
48% (Mean 50.0%) President Bush
43% (Mean 49.8%) the Republican Party
41% (Mean 47.6%) the Republican Congress
38% (Mean 48.9%) the Democrat Party

NOTE: The President and Republicans outpoll the DIMS despite the fact that this poll grossly oversamples Democrats and Democrat-oriented constituency groups, e.g., women, minorities, and adults over the age of 60!

THIS IS WHY THE DIMS AND THEIR MEDIA ENABLERS ARE HYSTERICAL . . . THEY ATTACK THE PRESIDENT RELENTLESSLY AND STILL CAN'T EXCEED HIS APPROVAL RATINGS AT THE POLLS!

"The country is just in a foul mood," Carville said. He noted within the same poll, 56 percent of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction.

That's because the Republicans allow the Democrats to get their way too often. The country moves in the wrong direction, while people wring their hands and say "Why don't the Republicans get a spine?!"

This is bad news-we don't want the Democrats to change a thing, least of all the DNC's chairman Screamin' Dean. I prefer it when they're fat, dumb and happy.

You mean they were surprised by the results of the poll? What a bunch of losers and dunderheads.

And let's hope Howard Dean remains as chairman of the DNC for a loooooooonnnnnngggggg time.

Well, good grief, if the face you show to the public is both as mendacious and as relentlessly negative as the Dems have been of late, you have to expect people to react in kind. This should be news to nobody.

They will redouble their efforts to malign the troops and slander the President!

Clearly the message is not being received by the American People. Probably Fox News is using their mind control beams again to block Howard Dean's sane message of Truth to Power!

I dislike the Republicans. But I dislike the Democrats even more. Especially Carville :-)

That stat is ridiculous. I would say that this country is headed in the wrong direction because I feel that the left is taking over. Just look at the recent Supreme Court rulings and tell me that the country is headed in the right direction.

That stat tells me we need more conservatives running the country.

Is Democrat feminine, masculine, or neuter (die, der, or das)?
