Do the DUmmies EVER admit to being wrong? Wait, I already know the answer to that.

Whether or not he leaked the name, Rove is in deep trouble. His enemies in Politics and the press will destroy him. The allegation is enough for them.

To Howlin
You quoted me:
"I revealed in yesterday's taping of the McLaughlin Group that Time magazine's e-mails will reveal that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source."
and then asked:
"Ah, are you under the impression O'Donnell is saying that Rove is Cooper's source for something OTHER than Valerie Plame's name?"
O'Donnell didn't accuse Novak of leaking Plame's name to Cooper. Cooper did not get the leak about Plame's name; Novak did. I don't even know if Cooper knows who leaked it. O'Donnell simply stated that Novak was a source for Cooper's notes. Which is a simple fact. Where is the cause for a libel suit vs. O'Donnell that so many people are calling for.

O'Donnell didn't accuse Novak of leaking Plame's name to Cooper.

Surely you're joking, right?

What EXACTLY do you think this entire matter has been about OTHER than who leaked Valerie Plame's name?

We're not trying to find out if Matt Cooper ever talked to Karl Rove.

Not mentioned yet....that Lawrence O'Donnell's bombshell is relegated to a dubious boast "I knew it all along" disclosure on the McLaughlin Report and on Arriana Huffinton's webstite. How impressive is that? :) And how pathetic is Isikoff if he gets O'Donnell to hype his column? Besides, if this were a BIG story, don't you think Time would be the one to break it?

Rove's lawyer is not lying. He also said that the SP confirmed that Rove is not a target of the investigation. Cooper is Mandy Grunwald's husband. Remember her ? Miller works for the NYT. Remember them ?

Wilson claimed Rove would be frog-marched out of the WH in handcuffs when the story broke. Now why would he say that ...

Cooper and Miller are in trouble, but they are protecting Democrats who are in even bigger trouble ...

O'Donnell may not even know ..., which makes this hilarious. The SC said they have to testify or go to jail. They want to go to jail rather than testify because of the damage their truthful testimony would do to the liberals ...

Just a reminder, the same thing happened with Libby. He signed waivers and reporters still balked at testifying.

They had spoken to him but it has come out (via press releases, for example---the grand jury has been tight as a drum except for court filings or if a reporter or his employer issues a statement) that all admitted finally that he never mentioned Plame.

You can bet that the same holds true for Rove. The grand jury wanted reams of notes from Cooper (and Miller) not just on discussions with sources on Plame, but the trip to Niger and yellowcake. So while Rove's name is indeed in Cooper's notes, it was thrown out (again) as a red herring to the crux of the issue the grand jury is looking at.

Oh please. He was accused of this before. The fact that you forgot tells you all the trouble he's in.

None.

Pathetic is the word for sure.

And how gratifying that it got debunked pronto.

Rove is their #1 target. I bet they'll call for hearings within the week.

"McDonnell to give proof"

The guy is LAURENCE O'DONNELL - Michael McDonnell is a judge on Bush's short list.

O'Donnell should be brought before the grand jury, and if he can't produce the evidence and his source for his 'earth-shattering' revelation, then he should be imprisoned for obstruction of justice and interferring with a federal investigation.

He is a liberal patsy, and this is a political hit against Bush and Rove by him at the behest of someone trying to deflect attention from themselves.

I know Rove is their target. As I said, he was accused of this before.

Remember?

Oh, you don't? Well I do.

"Emails will reveal that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source. I have known this for months," O'Donnell said.

I believe her. I have seen the email. It's from Karl's Yahoo account. Its from evilgeniusoutedValerie@yahoo.com

Even if Rove didn't leak the name, it's widely known that Karl was AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard. Dan Rather has the documents to prove it.

Especially considering the fact that Rove signed a waiver releasing the reporters from protecting any information he gave them.
