I'd like to see O'Donnell get sued for libel by Rove's attorney.
I'd like to end up in a dark alley with O'Donnell. The chicken s##%t would be in a world of hurt.
I think the plan was (and maybe still is) to spread the gossip that it was Rove, knowing full well the grand jury proceedings are secret until time to indict (or not). I think they figure they can spread this caca del toro until that time, and by then Rove is (they hope) slimed. Hope it backfires on 'em.
We never see lawsuits on this sort of thing--delicious as they might be--and probably they're ultimately counterproductive. But I confess, I'd like to see Wilson and O'Donnell "frogmarched" into court...
Omigosh, seeing it again reminded me of what a nut O'Donnell has always been. Why does McLaughlin bother with him?
Remember when this story broke and Wilson said Rove would be frog marched out of the WH ?
I sense a conspiracy to implicate Karl Rove, only the SC discovered the truth, that it was not Karl, and the conspiracy, that some MSM reporters, Wilson, or whoever conspired and lied to investigators and the Grand Jury. Cooper and Miller know this, are trapped, and will not testify before the Grand Jury. They would rather go to jail for 4 months than commit perjury.
They are terrified that the judge will put them in DC Jail though, although the Dem operatives will put out the word to keep them save there ...

Re--Now_is_The_Time: I'd like to see O'Donnell get sued for libel by Rove's attorney. This is a deliberate fabrication meant to defame a great man's reputation and character. It will make lying scum like him think twice before attacking this administration with baseless allegations in the future..

Why would Rove sue O'Donnell for libel? What did he fabricate? Here is what O'Donnell said:
"And I know I'm going to get pulled into the grand jury for saying this but the source of...for Matt Cooper was Karl Rove, and that will be revealed in this document dump that Time magazine's going to do with the grand jury."
and
"I revealed in yesterday's taping of the McLaughlin Group that Time magazine's e-mails will reveal that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source. I have known this for months but didn't want to say it at a time that would risk me getting dragged into the grand jury."
And now we discover that Mr. Luskin, Rove's lawyer, concedes that Rove is a source in Cooper's emails, but not in the original leak. So, O'Donnell just stated a fact. Where is the libel?
Probably alrady been said, but IF he had known it for months, he would have outed Rove a long time ago.

Yes, that is the only explanation that makes sense. The SP insists they must testify before the GJ. The courts have all upheld the subpoena. They are caught in a trap. If they tell the truth, they are witnesses against Wilson, etc. for not only breaking the law but trying to frame others. If they lie, they commit perjury and are co-conspirators.
But wait, according to Rove's own attorney, Rove and Cooper did speak, so Rove could, by his attorney's own admission, be in the notes. Rove was indeed "a source" for Cooper. What we have are two very explicit, no wiggle-room, denials by Rove's attorney that this info to Cooper involved identifying Valerie Plame (Coper and Rove could have talked about a dozen other things). If this attorney is not telling the truth, then there's going to be heck to pay. If he is telling the truth, then this whole story continues not to make any sense. Rove releases Cooper and testifies that he talked to him. Who is Cooper protecting? What I think may be going on is that someone leaked an interesting but unimportant tidbit about Rove to throw people off the trail about Mr or Ms X, who Cooper is really protecting, and to embarrass Rove. Who is X?
