And this is the case less because of the Klein book than because of hillary clinton's realtime reaction to it.
Old media have two choices--continue to play the access-journalism game and feed their own increasing irrelevance ... or band together to resist this sick, dangerous... person, end their 4th-estate malfeasance and protect the country from a second and likely fatal assault from this inept, corrupt, ruthless pair of egomaniacal demagogues.
Hillary clinton needs old media more than old media need hillary clinton.
Leni Riefenstahl was the film genius who outmaneuvered propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels to chronicle Hitler's 1934 Nuremberg rallies in perhaps the most notorious documentary ever filmed, Triumph of the Will. For sheer power, reach, and ruthlessness, however, the fascist Riefenstahl operation doesn't hold a candle to the Clinton agitprop machine...

The real truth about Hillary
is that she IS Hitlery.
All else is just frosting.
Underneath she's pure evil.
Of course the left has a moral compass! But it doesn't point North, it points away from truth. But even though I advocate opposing Hillary in the primary, the intention is not to appeal is to the left (Democratic primary voters) but to the persuadable "muddle in the middle." An 18-year-old first-time voter in 2008 was ten in 1998 and five in 1993 when Filegate came down. Ask that 18-year-old who enforces the law in this country. Then ask what he thinks of and Administration where a thousand politically motivated felonies were committed in the WH basement and no one was punished. And ask what kind of a political party that would nominate a person who was in the White House to be the ultimate authority on enforcing the law.
You have to teach, and teaching can be hard. But in the face of the propaganda wind that objective journalismTM puts at her back, running around trying to hold Hillary accountable for the miriad things that she has deniability for just seems to be a fool's errand.
We should equate Hillary with Robert Torricelli, and the national Democratic Party with the NJ Democratic Party that renominated him knowing that he was a crook. One thing for New York or the New Jersey Democratic Party to nominate crooked senators, but for the national Democratic Party to consider nominating a known crook to be the chief law enforcement officer of the country is more than the nation should stand for.
President Bush is the chief law enforcement officer; the Attorney General works for him. But he is not willing to meddle in the affairs of the Democratic Party, and he probably should not do so. It is up to we-the-people to hold the Democratic Party to account if it nominates a ruthless person to the position of highest authority in the country. We cannot sit idly by with the thought that she would lose and our side would win if she were nominated; we must point out from the gitgo that no one who supports Hillary for president deserves the trust of the American public.
We are on the same page about the need to "teach."
I think the Torricelli analogy breaks down, tho. The Democratic Party had a choice with Torricelli. The jackboot-thug clintons have arrogated the party as its own. The party has no choice short of coup, (which I don't doubt is being planned on some level. They aren't all a bunch of Anita Loweys....)
As the primaries approach, look for leaks about clinton corruption to come from the left. I suspect many democratic-party loyalists are as repulsed by the clintons as we are....

I think that is what Ed Klein's book is, in fact. An attack from the right, by those who are repulsed by what the Clintons are up to, and using the Democrat party for.
How convenient of them to rant and wail about the VRWC pushing it, but they figure that will get the folks on the left looking it over. If they begin to accumulate facts on Hillary as they bash the right, so much the better.
I've been reading here since before Monica.... there were a few things in the book that surprised me. I'll go through it tomorrow and post some excerpts.

I went to my local Borders near downtown Atlanta and "The Truth about Hillary" wasn't there either. Has anyone seen it at a Borders or Barnes and Noble?

I got my copy significantly discounted at Walmart.
My favorite part was her run-ins with the Moynihans. Liz Moynihan was her husband's campaign manager. Hillary paid the Moynihans a visit before she ran for Senate.
"So," Liz Moynihan said, "you're interested in the secret of my success."
"Yes," Hillary said.
"I have a good candidate," Liz said. "People like him and trust him."
"Well...," Hillary began.
"The reason you're not doing well in New York," said the straight-talking Liz, "is because Jews don't like you."
Hillary was taken aback. No one talked to the First Lady like that.
"Is it because of what they say I said about the Palestinians?" Hillary said.
"The thing that is wrong with that statement isn't what 'they say' you said," Liz said sternly. "It's what we all know you said--that you favor a Palestinian state."
"Well...," Hillary stammered.
"In any case," Liz continued, "it's not what you said about the Palestinians that has disaffected the Jews so much. It's health care."
~snip~
..."New York has a lot of teaching hospitals, and, according to your health-care plan, you want to close them down. New York has lots of Jewish doctors and those doctors have lots and lots of wives and relatives and patients, and they don't like what you want to do."
"I'm interested in what you say about health care," Hillary said, "because I had a bill that would protect the teaching hospitals--"
"Hillary!" Liz interrupted. "Please! That's Pat's bill."
"Oh, said Hillary, "did he have one, too?"
Edward Klein, The Truth About Hillary, p. 168

Just like they said, she will lie and say anything to further herself. The law of averages says it has to backfire on her SOMETIME!!
