"Don't we import over 60% of just about everything that we use.......When do we start lynching free traders?"

Actually, we PRODUCE over 60% of the World's food, THE #1 commodity on the planet. We have the biggest leverage bar in the World trade game.

For God sakes, don't tell these bastards about the fella who left his car running at the convenience store this morning, or oil will be trading for $85 a barrel tomorrow morning.

This is getting freakin' ridiculous.

ANWAR is nothing, the oil is probably going to Asia anyway.

We need more refineries, toss the environmental restrictions overboard and drill domestic oil anywhere we see it.

Problem with the refineries is the ones that own the refineries do not want new ones and politicians are controlled by the environment wackos who do not want refineries and restrictions lifted.

Only way past this is good leadership and the will to conquer the political correct, environweenie crowd.

Food is a true commodity, you can raise prices, but you will soon lose market share.

"This is getting stupid.

Almost $2.30 here in RI for a gallon of regular - this situation is slowly starting to get out of hand."

Yeah, I'm starting to drive less and making less pit stops at stores that are not on my way. It's getting a bit scary, especially if you're in a fix income...sigh! I still believe though, these increases by the oil producers are doing it to spite W! Just a gut feeling!
