Lock each and every one of them up! - (life without possibiity of parole for child molesters!)

How many children must die before lawmakers and the courts decide to keep certain classes of sexual predators behind bars permanently?

Joseph Edward Duncan III, a registered sex offender from Fargo, N.D., is the most recent addition to the pantheon of convicted pedophiles who have been let out of jail only to prey on other victims upon their release. Duncan was convicted of twice raping a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint in 1980. He was 16 years old at the time he committed the crime.

Sentenced to 20 years, Duncan was first released after serving 14 years, violated his parole and was sent back to prison in 1997, where he remained until 2000. When he finally got out, he enrolled in college and even made the dean's list, but soon was trolling for more victims. Duncan was arrested for videotaping and fondling a 6-year-old boy on a playground in Minnesota last July, but instead of being sent back to prison — or at least held without bail — he was released on a $15,000 bond in April, then vanished.

Duncan is only the latest in a long list of convicted sex offenders who have gone on to commit horrendous crimes after being released from jail.

The punishment for raping a child ought to be life in prison, period. There ought never to be a second chance for such persons. And while lesser sexual crimes — fondling or possessing child pornography, for example — might deserve a second chance, it must come under the most restrictive circumstances: life-long, electronic monitoring. Any second offense of such crimes should earn a life sentence, with no possibility of parole.

Sorry - and I mean it. Shoulda been the first thing in the post.

The scary part is getting caught red-handed with a child he'd kidnapped and molested may have been one of the less serious things that he's done.

And when all the pedophiles start killing their victims, so said victims can't ID them, that's gonna be LOTS better.

You bring up a very bad point -care not to elaborate..

I don't spook easily and I read a lot about killers and such but child molesters just creep me out. I hate them. That little girl is very ucky to be alive and I pray for her recovery.

"Hang them. No lethal injections: they're not unwanted pets or something. "

Agreed. Life without parole does not cut it. Things change, politically and otherwise. When they reach the really golden years and more expensive to keep they can be turned loose as "harmless"....which they are not and never will be. A life sentence is no guarantee

No lockup.

Public execution, then leave the corpse in a gibbet.

Yes, I'm serious.

Kinda like some RC Cardinals in the US.

I like how so many people throw out their anti-Catholic bigotry so easily. For example, they do so by bringing up pedophile priests but NEVER mention that most, if not all, pedophiles in the "RC" church were homosexuals who joined the priesthood because it was a fertile hunting ground for meeting other queers not to mention the easy access it gave them to helpless young boys.

All good points.

The fact is though, these scums may not have physically maimed or killed their victims, but have maimed or killed their childhood, their innocence, and their faith in fellow men.

Not to mention that numerous reputable studies shown through the years a high, almost constant recidivism rate; filthy animals like John Couey admitting to police that they "can't stop"; despicable groups like NAMBLA and the ACLU defend these sickos; and the loony, bleeding-heart Liberals who are lenient with them and try to excuse their brazenly deviant behavior.

Put the pieces together, folks. These animals don't deserve mercy or "rights" by the sole common-sense reason that they systematically and intentionally denied those rights to their victims. Ergo, it is society's duty to inflict the ultimate of punishments--the death penalty.

Quite frankly, I believe that for child molestation, the minimum sentence should be life imprisonment, and if it was actual rape, the death penalty ought to be mandated in all 50 states and on the federal and military circuits.

Finally, said death sentences should be carried out without further ado, and the so-called "right to die humanely" should also be denied to these freaks. Death row inmates have no rights--they've harmed society so much as to merit death for their deeds.

Problem Solved--a dead molester cannot molest again--steadily bringing the recidivism rate down to a virtual zero.

Nothing more needs to be said on this subject. This is the only solution. These freaks are incorrigible, by their own admissions.

I've only seen one molester (whose name escapes me ......Goldfarb?...or something like that), who is so far maintaining his "sobriety" and is attempting to work in the area as a kind of counselor. I've seen him several times on FNC, and he appears believable and sincere, but he is the one exception to the otherwise total recidivism with this sickness.

Thanks for your strong comments.

Statement: "Lock each and every one of them up! - (life without possibiity of parole for child molesters!)"

Response: In the alternative there is the whip, the lash and the knout. Branding may help. A large CM burned into the center of the forehead would serve as a punishment and a warning to children if the perp gets out of jail free. Our system of penal justice is out of whack. Too much compassion for perps rather than a healthy lack of concern for the miserable little piece of fate. Do with them as one wills so to speak.
