Republicans Blast Sen. Clinton's Comments

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Republicans took aim at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday for comparing President Bush to Mad magazine's freckle-faced, "What, me worry?" kid, Alfred E. Neuman.

A Republican National Committee official said the former first lady was "part of today's angry and adrift Democrat Party," while a spokesman for one of her potential 2006 Senate rivals said she was guilty of "insulting the president."

"At a time when President Bush and most elected officials are focused on the security of our nation, Mrs. Clinton seems focused on taking partisan jabs and promoting her presidential campaign," added New York's GOP chairman, Stephen Minarik. "Her priorities are clearly out of whack."

Clinton's attack on the president came Sunday during a speech in Colorado.

"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute, a non-partisan think tank.

The former first lady drew a laugh from the crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: "What, me worry?"

As Clinton gears up for a Senate re-election race in New York next year and a possible White House presidential bid in 2008, her attacks on Bush have become sharper.

In her speech Sunday, she accused the president of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich, depriving U.S. soldiers of equipment needed to fight the war in Iraq and cutting funds for scientific research.

"Hillary Clinton's opportunistic attempt to market herself as a centrist is like a wolf dressing up in sheep's clothing," said RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt. "Such thinly veiled rhetoric doesn't change the fact she is part of today's angry and adrift Democrat Party."

Thomas Basile, a spokesman for potential Senate challenger Edward Cox, a son-in-law of the late President Nixon, said while Clinton was "busy insulting the president across the country, she is failing to produce the homeland security and transportation funding" the state needs.

Clinton has been accusing the Bush administration of providing inadequate funding for New York's security needs.

While national polls show the former first lady to be leading the pack among potential 2008 Democratic presidential contenders, Clinton has said she is too wrapped up in her Senate work and re-election effort to think about that.

The Media simply wants Hillary to raise advertisement money so they can profit. She will raise money from people who like her and also people who cannot stand her. She also has raised a lot of money and could use it to target any elected official who speaks out against her. Yes, there are many who fear Hillary. She probably has more influence in the way her Democrat Party acts than many of us could imagine. People like Boxer and Schummer and Reid probably repeat Hillary talking points like parrots.

Yes, we know for a fact, that the far left eats its own. Vince Foster, a quite a few others, could attest to that. And their efforts to obtain "damning" evidence (ergo Sandy Burglar), FBI files, private investigators, show the gutter level these criminals operate at. There really is no limit...

And to think G.W. kissed up to the Clintons when their painted potraits were revealed at the White House. The President should not try to reason with a Hillary or Billary.
They are nice to his face but will badmouth as soon as he walks away.

Well, I guess that makes her favorite husband fair game. How about referring to him as being like having to share the same room with Chester the Molester, from the sleaze mag of their porn pedalling friend.

Perhaps those photos from the 1960's and 1970's which clearly show Hitlery as a typical wild-eyed leftist radical need to be shown over and over again. She has some nerve commenting on anyone's looks. And then there's the matter of Chelsea....

If she were referring to Bush's attitude on illegals I'd agree.

Name one thing Hillary has been successful at politically. What accomplishments does she have on record? What has she ever done for the nation?

"This is good but where are our Republican Senators and Congressmen on this? Why are they soooo afraid of Hillary?"

Their silence is golden. Hillary's words and behavior do far more damage to her credibility than any retort from Republicans could accomplish. She's her own worst enemy.

Yeah, right. It's well known that Hillary will not appear at any function unless it's guaranteed to have a liberal audience. For interviews, she also requires a list of the proposed questions in advance to ensure she's not asked anything she doesn't want to answer.

Historically, Hillary always "over-reaches." She has a knack for stepping in "it."

The best approach to battling Hillary is to wait for her to make a mistake...and then counterattack accordingly. This works much better than the ill-advised ad hominem attacks launched by many conservatives.

that's all that woman can ever do is attack.
She has no plans
She has no solution
She has nothing but negative blood flowing in her veins and it pours out her very large, nasty mouth each time she opens it.

Angry, bitter, dilusional, vile, venumous, sour, stale, musty, old, so 60's, you name it. That's hilllereeeeeeeee

Hillary raised campaign funds to buy advertisements from the big media. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN ETC. all benifit from Hillary's ability to raise money because they will sooner or later show the advertisement money as revenue.

Leave it to "The smartest woman in the world (s)" to make a hate filled idiot out of herself against a man who can't even run for election again! What a low life turd.

But what has she done to deserve the presidency? What has she accomplished for the people? The voter?

Every project she's ever worked on has been referred to by the House as "fascist." The only way she got to Washington was riding in her husbands briefs. She's failed at everything she's ever tried, including in her marriage! Her own father couldn't stand her!

AH---don't let a little thing like the FACTS get in the way of a good POTUS campaign!!! Especially when it comes to the dems...they are so clueless, that her lack of a pertinent resume, is good enough for them!
