Pray for President Bush - Day 1759

Dear Heavenly Father, we once again kneel before Your throne bringing before You our prayers, our praise and our petitions, knowing that You hear and answer prayer. We are thankful that we, Your creation, are of such import to You, the Creator, that You desire that we be in communion with You. We depend upon You for everything we do, and we know that we only have what we do have because of Your mercy, Your grace, and Your bountiful blessings to us.

Father, we come to You today asking for Your continued protection and blessing on our brother in Christ, President Bush. We ask that You bring him to the foot of the cross every day in prayer and humility so that he never believes he can make decisions on his own. Lord, we know that he can only honor You if he is obedient to You, and we pray that You would speak to him in love where he strays from Your good and perfect will for his life. As the upcoming vacancies on the Supreme Court are decided, we ask that he be continually listening for Your still small voice, and that he would be given the wisdom he needs to make wise choices.

Lord, we also bring Laura before You in prayer, asking that You protect and bless her as she is in South Africa representing Your love to the people there. We ask that the light of Your love would continue to shine in her as she ministers to those who suffer from AIDS, and we ask that she and Jenna would be brought back safely home.

We pray, dear Lord, for our troops in harm's way, that You would shield them from all harm, and be a comfort to them as they are far from home. Keep them in safety under the shelter of Your wing, and destroy their enemies, and deliver them. We thank You for each one of them, for their willingness to sacrifice their own freedom and safety for ours. We pray for the people of Iraq that in their freedom, they would begin to understand and feel the love of Jesus Christ, who died for their sins. We pray for the fledgling democracy there, that it would grow and prosper, and be an example for other countries in that dark region of the world. We pray for the families and loved ones of those who have fallen in this noble and just cause, and we ask for comfort and healing for those who have been wounded.

And finally, dear Father, we continue to pray for this nation, that Your hand would be upon us. We know that the only way America can be great is if we are good, and we know that there are many in this country who are seeking to destroy the fiber of morality that has kept us strong during our history. Lord, bring Your people to their knees in prayer for revival and renewal, and help us to follow You, and be a sweet fragrance to a world in need. In the Name of Jesus, who loved us so much that he sacrificed Himself for our sins, AMEN!

Heavenly Father, we delight in Your promise that you will answer prayer, not in our time but Yours. We pray for President Bush that You would give him the wisdom and strength needed for our country. We pray Your blessings for all those who work with him for this goal.

We pray as well for the military men and women who are fighting for that freedom which we enjoy. May they be united with their loved ones soon. Lord, we pray for all those who are fighting the cause against terrorist.

We ask these blessings in Your Son's Precious Name, Amen

Holy Father,

Hold our President close to Your heart tonight and whisper to him words of strength, hope, and faith. May Your power and ability dwell within him, giving him the courage and resolve he needs to face each new day. Silence the never-ending hysteria of his enemies, and give him clarity of mind and purpose. We ask this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

That's the same reason I believe that God brought Psalm 3 to me at the top of the thread.

The President has many enemies because he serves the Lord. We need to be in constant prayer for his protection against them (and that included the press!)

The constant media/lib attack has got to be rough as is the constant peril our troops are in...Praying that God will protect all of our Troops. From the lowest to the highest ranking among them.
A co-workers step-son is due back in the states soon, he's been deployed over in Iraq for the better part of a year now.

Many times we, in our human nature become upset at the arrows being shot at our President, Kitty, and are inclined to forget that the Lord, indeed is a shield around him who will deliver him from danger.

I need to remind myself of that.........REST in the Lord.

Father, we want the world to see that our President is called by Your name. Open the floodgates of Heaven and shower blessings, favor, health, prosperity, peace, the gifts and fruits of the Spirit--all those things the world seeks after. Make him a living memorial to Your goodness and cause others to be jealous of Your favor. In that, Lord, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them concerning righteousness that they may fall to their knees saying, "What must we do to be saved?"
