Posted on 07/14/2005 9:45:50 AM PDT by Protect the Bill of Rights

In doing a search on Joe Wilson's company, J C Wilson International Ventures, I came across this article from Aljazerah. It is dated January 26, 2005.

I cannot read it but there are many names we would recognize.

BEK(The Century Foundation), Samuel R. Berger, Stonebridge International, Bush Revolution in Foreign Policy, Economic Strategy Institute, Rogne Nation, Brookings, Richard Holbrook, J.C.Wilson International Ventures, Terror in the name of God, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Mark Warner, Julitte Kayem, Michele A. Flournoy, James Sterinberg, Rand Beers, Chuck Hagel

(It may not link, if not you need to do a google search on Wilson's Compnay name.)

Thanks for the ping, MizSterious. Well, Berger and Holbrook's name sure popped up, didn't they? I have been out of the loop as we have company visiting us for a week so I'm only able to stay on top of this in the most basic way.

I keep wondering how the Democrats plan to spin the results of the investigation, when it turns out that Wilson and Plame were the only ones guilty of leaking classified information, and possibly twisting it to a political advantage.

Maybe that's what all this All Rove, All the time nonsense is all about. Maybe they are building up to claiming that this investigation was a biased cover/set up by the all powerful Rove.

_____________
On the other side:
1) The news media keeps listing Joseph C
Wilson as "CEO of JC Wilson International Ventures"
.....As of May 2003, Joseph Wilson's email address was
joewilson@rockcreekcorp.com
_____________

Wasn't there some sort of questionable payment by the Kerry
campaign to "something creek" corp?

I'll try and dig it up.

I can't find it. I thought I remebered a large payment to
(expendature) to "Rock Creek LLC" or "Rock Creek Media".
I want to say it was for several hundred thousand dollars
but they wouldn't disclose why they were paying them all
this money.

Someone help me find it, please. It's driving me nuts.

I don't remember the month and can't do a "find" in pdf's.

I thought for sure I posted on this topic but couldn't find
anything.

Unless... this is from the Gore 2000 campaign and I just
haven't searched back far enough.

Here's some info on Wilson's company:
From Vanity Fair:

"...After only one year in the job Wilson decided to retire and go into the private sector because "we wanted to have kids, and felt that it had become very difficult to live off two government salaries." He set up a consultancy, J. C. Wilson International Ventures, with an office in downtown Washington at the headquarters of the Rock Creek Corporation, an investment firm of which little is known. Wilson's right-wing critics have been quick to condemn the affiliation as "murky," though Wilson does not work for Rock Creek and merely rents space and facilities there.

"I have a number of clients, and basically we help them with their sort of investments in countries like Niger," explains Wilson. "Niger was of some interest because it has some gold deposits coming onstream. We had some clients who were interested in gold.... We were looking to set up a gold-mine company out of London."

And here's something on the company that he worked for before going out on his own.
but also the Rock Creek Corporation, an investment company controlled by Al Amoudi and chaired since 1997 by a Lebanese businessman very connected into the power circles of Washington, Elias Aburdene. Former adviser of the Franklin Bank National in Washington DC, Aburdene at the start of his accession to the head (position) of Rock Creek Corporation hired the ex - adviser to Bill Clinton for African affairs, Joseph Wilson IV. The latter had already met Mohamed Al Amoudi in 1997 at the time of a reception organized for the World Bank by Westar Group (LAW n.794).

Well, that's certainly interesting. Wilson's Rock Creek corp tied in with Al Amoudi?

Thanks. There's lots of interesting stuff here I will need to follow up on in order to digest. It's hard to know what to make of that Arabic site without a translation, but of the names mentioned there, Biden (along with Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy, and Carl Levin) played a key role in trying to obstruct a Senate resolution against Iraq; Beers, Berger, and Holbrooke were on the Kerry campaign's foreign policy team; and a PAC associated with Hagel received a donation from one of Wilson's business partners at Rock Creek:

What Wilson Didn’t Say About Africa: Joseph Wilson's Silent Partners

Wilson ran his company out of the offices of an investment company called Rock Creek Corporation. Rock Creek was controlled by Mohammed Alamoudi, whom Wilson had met in 1997 at a reception organized for the World Bank by Westar Group. Alamoudi was a member of the Saudi-Ethiopian Alamoudi dynasty, which was heavily invested in the segments of the African economy Wilson was seeking to penetrate. The Alamoudi-affiliated company Delta Services--a Swiss subsidiary of the Saudi company Delta Oil--handled Iraqi oil export contracts in 2000 and 2001 and was revealed in 2003 as a recipient of Iraqi Oil-for-Food vouchers channeled through Abu Abbas, a Palestinian terrorist with Iraqi connections. Delta Services also cooperated with Afghanistan’s Taliban regime in a project to build an oil pipeline from Afghanistan to Pakistan, prior to this project’s suspension in 1998. In 1999, Alamoudi was accused by USA Today reporter Jack Kelley of heading a bank which was being investigated for financing Al Qaeda. USA Today printed retractions of several details in Kelley’s article in 2004, after another member of the Alamoudi family--Abdurahman Alamoudi, a prominent American Muslim lobbyist--was indicted on terror-related charges involving a Libyan-backed conspiracy to assassinate Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Abdullah. Abdurahman was ultimately convicted in October 2004 and sentenced to 23 years in prison.12 Under Mohammed Alamoudi’s direction, Rock Creek was chaired by Elias Aburdene, an Arab-American international banking advisor and lobbyist who had previously advised banks linked to organized crime and intelligence community figures involved in the S&L Scam. In 2003 and 2004 Aburdene donated to the Sandhills Political Action Committee, which was affiliated with Senator Chuck Hagel, 13 a leading Republican critic of the Bush administration’s Iraq policy.14

It still bugs the hell out of me that even though J C Wilson International Ventures Corp made campaign donations, I can find no record of it anywhere, in any corporate database. I have looked in every corporate seach I can find.

I also wonder about the Valerie Wilson Travel Agency. Is that "THE" Valerie Wilson?

=======

Trying to help you out here, but found these: . This is what he is telling the FRENCH!

[bold mine, translation's rough, but it's the substance]

"....But to punish Wilson, "high an anonymous person in charge" slipped into the ear of a journalist close to the republicans, Robert Novak, that the woman of Wilson was a spy. ....."

"...it accuse the strategist of Bush, Karl Rove, to have encouraged the escape: "Rove said to one my friends journalists who my wife was, I quote, a dreamed target",...... They messed with the fucking wrong Guy". Its anger is corrosive, almost merry....

"....Today, Wilson is consulting in the cabinet Rock Creek Corporation...."

If you fill in "Kerry" in the field for "Partial Name of Committee" you can drill down to the couple of committees
he had set up for his financing. I'll keep messing with this.

It's a pretty good resource to look at when you (anyone) have time.

I'm back. I checked the California Corporations Database since his outdated link refered to a home page in California. Nothing there.

I can usually find something like this easy. If he has incorporated, there must be some records somewhere? Am I wrong? Especially if he does business overseas.

If he has not incorporated and in fact gave a bogus company name with his contributions, is that a crime?

I don't know the answers. I am just curious why this company cannot be traced anywhere. After all one article gave some names we are familar with as being associated with JC WILSON.

And if he lied about the business ....

To: concrete is my business

In my personal experience, they often are lacking in business experience and the names reflect the owners willingness to take big risks with other peoples money.

I hope this is not an insult to our business since 1987 with the "attachment" of Enterprises, Inc.??? We don't deal with OPM!!!

I read that Wilson was doing business with some of the people in the oil for food scandal while supposedly investigating the Saddam/yellow cake issue.

Can you give us the source???
