Now Valerie Plame's former CIA supervisor, Fred Rustman (who WAS a covert official) has gone on record saying she was not a covert employee...and that virtually everyone in the social circle around her and Wilson knew that she worked at the CIA.

Karl Rove should sue Joe Wilson and all the newspapers, magazine's, politicians etc. for falsely accusing him. He would make millions!
Joe Wilson should be prosecuted for impersonating a diplomat sent to Niger by Cheney.
Yeah.Yeah.Yeah!!

I heard on TV yesterday that to be in violation of the law (the 1982 law that Sen. Schumer voted AGAINST), among other things,

(1) The accused must have gotten the info from a confidential source,

(2) The accused must KNOW that the agent is clandestine,

(3) The exposed agent must be serving overseas, and undercover, or must have served in this capacity within 5 years of the exposure.

Wilson and wifey both admit that no element of #3 was in place. The exposure took place in 2003, and Plame's last overseas posting was in 1997. Besides, at CIA in 2003 she was simply working as a regular staffer...not in a clandestine role.

The Dems need to sit down abd shut up.

Maybe somebody should tell this to Andrea Greenspan. She was on Softball last night with David "I am so smug" Gregory telling all 57 viewers that Plame was a covert operative INSIDE CIA HQ . . . until that nasty evil Karl Rove outed her.

BTW, how long has Andrea been a bulemic?

"I have every right to have the American public know who I am and not to have myself defined by those who would write the sorts of things that are coming out, being spewed out of the mouths of the RNC..."

Hey Joe, I'm not in the RNC but I'll define you as a scum sucking pig whose 15 minutes might turn into 15 months at a Federal "pound me in the ass prison".

This special prosecutor does not have to be a brain surgeon to understand Valerie was no covert agent, hence their can be no charge for revealing an undercover agent. This special prosecutor is doing a disservice to the nation by letting this case drag on and on and on.........

The Wall Street Journal has discovered that Brewster Jennings Associates, Valerie Plame's cover firm, was registered with Dun & Bradstreet in 1994, registered at a Boston address, 101 Arch St. as a legal services firm, that has no record of the firm being located there. Nor does the MAssachusetts Bar Association have any record of Victor Brewster, listed as a partner in Brewster Jennings in Dun & Bradstreet's business database.

Interestingly, Nicholas Kristof notes in his NYT column Saturday, "the C.I.A. suspected that Aldrich Ames had given Mrs. Wilson's name (along with those of other spies) to the Russians before his espionage arrest in 1994. So her undercover security was undermined at that time, and she was brought back to Washington for safety reasons."

Interesting the timing of the CIA's "creation" of the Brewster Jennings cover, in May 1994, just three months after Plame was apparently brought back to Washington by the CIA to protect her from potential exposure caused by Aldrich Ames' suspected leaking of her identity to the Russians.

So Plame's "non official cover" as an energy analyst with Brewster Jennings was not apparently used until 1994 -- because the firm didn't "exist" as a cover until 1994.

Amazing in this day and age, the CIA doesn't seem to provide more solid cover to its NOCs than the fabulist Stephen Glass did for his own faked articles.

The WSJ also has an amusing look at the possible inspiration for the name of the CIA cover firm, here.
