Why shut down the tunnel project? Can't we punish the perps by making them dig the tunnel all the way to Mexico? Then the illegals from Mexico could find work up there!

I'm always happy to see us make efforts to secure our borders. I guess it's just a matter of time before the usual suspects show up to call me a racist for being happy about this action.

I was stationed in Korea when that tunnel was discovered. It was so big, that 4 semi truck side by side could fit and it was 18 feet tall. I never did hear how it was found. All I know is that my R&R was canceled during my tour and every military base in S. Korea and Japan were on alert for a long time.
I'd like to hear more about this tunnel in Washington State as soon as someone gets more details.
Why didn't any of the news media announce this discovery???

A house 90 meters from the border? Is that normal?

Where'd they put all the dirt?In their pockets, which were equipped with little trap doors. Then they'd pull and the dirt would go down their pant legs onto the ground.

You obviously know nothing about the cooperation between US and Canadian authorities regarding drugs. The DEA shares offices with the RCMP in every major Canadian city, and their cooperation is a reflection of that.
Also, I'll remind you that it's a two way street. Cocaine and crack does NOT grow on trees in the Yukon - it's shipped in from the States. Also, every single illegal handgun siezed in Canada in the last 50 yrs. BY DESIGN can be traced to the US.
It's an equal partnership which befits both parties.

I missed something, I thought the tunnel started from some building in Canada to some opening in the USA.
It appears to have been made in this case to send things south, but I am sure there are problems going the other way as well.
Canadians should get guns legally to defend themselves from the criminals with the illegal handguns.
