I'm "feeling" discriminated against. Where's my ACLU lawyuh?

You wanna work at Home Depot?  That's not bad, but you know they'll be doing the worst jobs for little money or benefits.

What "Hispanics"? Let's call 'em what they are: Mexicans. Too dang many Mexicans.

There are to many Mexicans, if you're referring to illegals of Mexican citizenship. I'm an American who is Hispanic, and I prefer to be called an American who is Hispanic. And, I prefer to be hired because I'm the best paint mixer Home Depot can find (which, if you've ever bought paint at HD, they've never been successful in finding, BTW) and not because I'm an American who is Hispanic. But, if you see me mixing paint at Home Depot, I guess you'll never know now that the La Raza crowd has pulled this .

I used them quite a bit a few year back for some renovation work & alot of their stuff sucks in terms of quality. Plus I got tired of being virtually assaulted by day workers on the way in to the store.

I give all my business to OSH now.

Lowe's for me -- Home Depot can take it and shove it.

There are a lot of American hispanics in my area of Michigan. Most are second and third generation Americans whos parents came to work in the Willow run bomber plant during WWII.

Some of the names are no longer hispanic due to changing it to become more American. My great grandfather changed our family name to make it appear more American in the same way.

what is homodepot gonna do about all the queers and dykes working there??

Guess they will hire queer and dyke mexicans??

As a trucker, I have delivered to many homodepots and almost without exception, everyone in shipping and receiving were queer or dyke.

Who has the strongest organization?? gays or mexicans?

I have my own personal reasons to be critical of Home Depot; but this just adds to the pot. Lowe's anyone?

Buy Lowe's stock. Their business is about to boom. Home Depot must be run by morons.

Home Depot is a private business. It can enter into any contracts it wants as long as it doesn't violate the law.

You can boycott them but your business isn't nearly as important as the Hispanic business.

In many areas the only people willing to take construction jobs are Hispanics. They are already a large percentage of the contractors and if the trend continues, in ten years almost all contractors will be Hispanic.

Contractors are the bread and butter customers of Home Depot.

Native Americans can stand outside Home Deport and solicit day labor jobs just as well as Hispanics. But none want to.

Why do you assume that everyone waiting in the parking lot is out of status? Please tell us how you can tell which ones are not legal immigrants or citizens?

The last Home Depot store I was in had all signs in both Spanish and English.

When I see that, I go to the office of the store and tell them why I'm leaving without buying.

Think it's time to start boycotting home depot.

Look, blame the Congresscritters, not the employer. If Congress (and the Bush administration) would get serious about enforcing immigration laws, this wouldn't be happening.

Not sure where you live, but I went in to a Texas store recently at which I rarely shop, and they had all the detergent, toilet paper, etc., product brands that aren't what you & I see everyday. They ARE what I see once a year when I shop at the store next to our favorite Mexican resort. It certainly gave me pause when I saw all those products here.

"In many areas the only people willing to take construction jobs are Hispanics"

That's a load of garbage that's been debunked over and over again. Start checking green cards, and take the illegals back to the border. If they are here legally, then no problem. The Washington Post, and hundreds of other papers all have printed stories on this subject. The principal is simple. Send them back home to Mexico, then when businesses like Home Depot or others need laborers, and no one seeks their positions, then maybe they will raise their starting wages, and get qualified, competent employees. Burns my ass up, when I enter places like these, and they can, but won't speak English. I do a turnabout and walk out the door.
