Prayer Request for Sterl. Rest in Peace 7-27-05

I just got back from a visit to my father-in-laws house, he appears to be on his death bed and hospice pretty much gave him about 24 hours left. He has been going downhill for a while now so this is not unexpected. My wife, her brother, her sister and her mom are still taking it pretty hard.
Although I only got to meet him about two years ago when my wife and I started our courtship, he always struck me as a good man. He served our country in the army. I don't know much about what he did, but I do know he retired as a Sargeant. Serving in the occupation force in Japan, then onto Korea and other places.
He raised three great kids and his sense of humor is excellent, always able to make you laugh.
Knowing him makes me proud that he allowed me marry his daughter. He gave her away to me last summer around this time and it was truely an honor.

CJ I hope your wife realizes the Lord brought you to her before he took her dad so she would have you to comfort her when that time came. She needs you now, and will for some time to come. I hope he goes peacefully as a reward for the life he led, raising fine children and serving his country. A fine legacy.
