Currently, the newly designed and written 106th, 107th, 108th and 109th (1999-present) Congressional sessions are available. However, the historical portion of the Key Votes program is still under construction.

John Kerry's 2005 record is not complete, but here we go for starters.

Please review his voting record.

What the MSM does not do well is follow up, or go in depth, especially when it’s “their boy” who we’re talking about.

So, during the elections we all heard a patriotic war hero Kerry tell us he was pro-defense. Remember that from the DNC and from his campaign trail?

But how did he vote?

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3583&can_id=S0421103

Gee, but he said he was pro-defense and the MSM parroted everything he said so well!

Remember the “hunter” Kerry. The guy who was actually not so anti-gun and made sure pictures of him with a shotgun circulated?

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3597&can_id=S0421103

Hmmmm, interesting isn’t it? He’s not so “gun-friendly” after all. But the MSM didn’t seem to research nor care much.

He was “pro-choice” and stated that. At least he didn’t lie about that too. But remember his weaseling attempt at gaining support from the Catholics and moderate Americans? He stated that he was pro-choice but it was a last resort so to speak. We had to do EVERYTHING possible to prevent this in the first place. He waffled really bad! But lets take a look at his voting record in 2005.

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3489&can_id=S0421103

He voted “YES”. Great. Thanks Mr. Kerry. I have a 4 year old daughter today, and it’s nice to that if in 10 years some adult takes her ACROSS the boarder into another state for an abortion which neither parent is informed about, that this is OK with you. Mr. Kerry, do you know the demographics of most the “dads” of these girls? That is specifically those young girls? I’ll tell you, they tend to be middle aged men.

http://www.vote-smart.org/voting_category_subject.php?can_id=S0421103&category_name=Abortion%20Issues&year=2005

Does anyone recall the self-proclaimed unpartisan Kerry who stated “Never has Washington been so divided along partisan lines?”

Rice?

Recall a Kerry who spoke about renewable energy and our need to be less dependent on foreign energy?

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3592&can_id=S0421103

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3493&can_id=S0421103 (Don’t be confused here. The wording of this makes a “Yes” vote against opening the ANWR)

http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_keyvote_detail.php?vote_id=3539&can_id=S0421103 (Especially this hits the petrol arena)

So CNN, BBC, CBS, thanks for keeping us so well informed. Your people are real great in how they follow up or do research for your 2 minute sound bite you call an “in depth” report.

Just “saying” something does not make it so. Actions speak louder than words MR. Kerry, and some people actually keep track of how you vote vs. what you say.

The bottom line here is simple. During the elections he "pretended" to be moderate. He tried to manage his perception.

Reality is he's a far left whacko.

Hey, it's tough enough having to meet the social obligations of a billionaire wife who is very stingy when it comes to passing out the cash and who assumes that Traitor John is doing to her what he did to his first wife, without having to listen to the whining of Massachusetts voters and Republicans, too. Any one who complains that Kerry doesn't show up often enough must recognize that he does less damage that way.

And, Kerry is everlastingly consistant! He worked against the US and it's military then and he works against the US and it's military today! He was a traitor then and he is a traitor now!

No. I think this is the guy who dressed all in camo and went duck hunting and was preaching about how he was going to bring his Bible into The White House because God was so important to him.

I think he served in Vietnam...hmmm.

During the presidential campaign, didn't he release all of his military records? No wait, that was Bush.

Didn't he say that he voted FOR the $87 billion? No wait, he voted against it.

Didn't the T.O.M. (Tired Old Media) ruthlessly scrutinize his military service? No wait, that was Bush.

Didn't the T.O.M. cynically report his ties to Big Money? No wait, that was Bush.

Didn't he throw his own service medals over White House fence in protest over the Vietnam War? No wait, that was someone else's medals.

Didn't he promise to bring the Downing Street Memo before Congress to start a possible impeachment investigation? Well yeah he did, until he realized he was standing on very very thin ice.

And to think there are millions of Hollywood Elites, Europeans, Chinese, and Muslims who desperately wanted (and STILL want) him to be President...

And Hillary's now doing the VERY SAME THING. And it'll work out just as badly for her.

I was with some VERY liberal "friends" watching the Dem Convention .When Kerry came out with the reporting for duty routine even the leftist libs I was with turned red ( no pun intended),one put his head in his hands and moaned and one young lady lamented a loud "oh nooooooo" I almost fell on the floor laughing. And people wonder why he lost ?

Your post #3 just illustrates that bloggers and chatters and activists do far better reporting than do reporters.

That's the funniest part of the entire campaign; watching The Left's reaction to the candidate they picked.

My proudly liberal friends would only talk about Bush and never wanted to say anything about Kerry. "Bush and Haliburton", "Bush and blood for oil", "Bush caused 9-11", "Bush made up the WMD allegations". Blah, blah, blah.

I never let them get away with their kook conspiracy theories about Bush but always insisted that they give me a legitimate policy reason why someone should vote for Kerry. I even went so far as to give a few of them a copy of Kerry's "My plan for America" as a cheat sheet but ultimately all they could ever say was "At least he's better than Bush."

With a campaign slogan like that and with his core supporters saying "Just hold your nose and vote for Kerry." there was no way he was going to win. I hope the '08 election will be just as fun.
