BUSH IMPEACHMENT IN THE WORKS
Loose-Lipped Hillary Operative Spills the Beans at Town Hall Meeting
Posted by Richard Poe @ Sunday 7 August 2005, 8:57 am

The Impeach Bush crowd is warming up for the big event.  Democrat congressman Maurice Hinchey of New York — a Hillary operative notorious for his loose lips — provided some useful insights into the Democrats’ impeachment strategy in remarks delivered at a July 30 town hall meeting in Ithaca, New York.

Citing the Downing Street memos and the Plamegate controversy, Hinchey stated in a public forum at Ithaca’s Town Hall, “My greatest hope is that all of these things will be revealed, they will be revealed in a very direct and legal context, and that in 2006 a Democratic majority will be elected to the House of Representatives, and in February of 2006 impeachment proceedings will begin.”

Hinchey, an ultra-left Democrat, represents New York’s 22nd Congressional District, which encompasses Cornell University and the artists’ colony at Woodstock, New York, scene of the 1969 music festival enshrined in countercultural legend.

Like Hillary in her 2000 Senate race, Hinchey was cross-endorsed in the 2004 election by the far-left Working Families Party — a front group for the radical cult ACORN, which ACORN established in New York in 1998.

I mean to have the party bigwigs made up of idiots, morons, retards and a$$holes.

Sounds like many of the pseudo-blue collar populist social(ist) "conservatives" who time has past buy and belong in a union hall circa 1955.

Richard Poe previously wrote: "All we ask of you Bush haters is that you leave us alone to fight Hillary. Go fight your battle on your own threads, and we'll fight ours on our threads. Then our efforts will compliment each other, instead of canceling each other out. "

To which hosepipe responded: "I'm surprised at you Richard... Neville Chamberlain could not have been so ugh.. diplomatic.. as this post..."

Dear hosepipe:

Your Neville Chamberlain analogy is puzzling.

If you cast me in the role of Chamberlain, that suggests that you see yourself in the role of Hitler — the aggressor and would-be conqueror.

I thought we were all on the same side. Was I being naive?

Perhaps, like Neville Chamberlain, I have failed to appreciate the ambition of you Bush-haters. Thanks for the heads-up. I think I'm finally beginning to understand your strategy.

Earlier on this thread, you implied that the Bush administration would be forced to take your views into account if FreeRepublic turned against Bush en masse.

You wrote: "Bashing President Bush `on free republic' can do more good than a `letter' filed in a circular file sent to any congress critter... OR [to] the Alfred E. Neumann look alike himself (Bush)...

In short, you want to use the bully pulpit of FreeRepublic to send a message to Washington. But, in order to send such a message, you must first make sure that all the Freepers are singing from the same hymn book. You cannot allow some Freepers to support Bush while others oppose him. That would send a mixed signal.

For your plan to succeed, the pro-Bush Freepers must be silenced and driven out.

That is why you invade pro-Bush discussion threads and disrupt them. By harassing the pro-Bush people, you hope we will eventually get discouraged and leave. Then you and your faction will be left in control of FreeRepublic.

Have I got it right?

Richard Poe earlier wrote to the Tancredo-ites: "Go fight your battle on your own threads, and we'll fight ours on our threads."

To which Tax Relief responded: "Reality Check: Battles are not fought on internet threads. "Election battles are fought in the trenches: at board meetings, in neighborhoods in the weeks prior to an election and in the `Letters to the Editor' section of local papers across the country. ..."

Dear Tax Relief:

I agree with you about the importance of fighting the political "ground war" at the grassroots. However, let's not underestimate the importance of Internet media such as FreeRepublic. The Democrats are keenly aware of the Web's importance, and they are pouring money into the effort to gain control of it. Consider this report that I posted to the Moonbat Central blog yesterday:

Posted by Richard Poe @ Saturday 13 August 2005, 9:54 am

CONSERVATIVES RULE THE BLOGOSPHERE
Leftwing Think Tank Bemoans New Findings

Conservatives hold nearly a two-to-one numerical advantage among the top 210 blogs -- that's 133 conservative blogs to 77 leftist blogs.  So says a study by the New Politics Institute (NPI), a leftwing think tank.  The study bemoans conservative blog power as "a serious problem that progressives must confront." (hat tip, Washington Times)

The study also notes, however, that leftist blogs dominate the top 40, by 24 to 16.  "Since March of 2005, the total number of blogs has grown from 7.8 million to 14.2 million," says the study.

Here's a link to the full text of the study, titled, "Emergence of the Progressive Blogosphere: A New Force in American Politics."

Soros buffs will be interested to learn that NPI, which sponsored the study, was founded in May 2005 by New Democrat Network (NDN) president Simon Rosenberg, with financial support from Shadow Party operative and venture capitalist Andy Rappaport, as well as from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).  Together, these donors have pledged $1.5 to $2 million annually to support the new venture. (via The Hill)

Why should this interest Soros buffs?  Well, in announcing NPI's launch in The Hill of May 11, Andy Rappaport's wife Deborah went out of her way to make clear that NPI had no, absolutely no relationship with that man, George Soros.  Hans Nichols of The Hill writes:

"Deborah Rappaport noted that NPI is a separate venture from Rob Stein's Democracy Alliance, which is planning to seed a garden of progressive think tanks with money raised from the Phoenix Group, a collection of liberal investors that includes George Soros.  The Rappaports are not members of the Phoenix Group and have  their own `investment schedule,' she said."

We at Moonbat Central receive this disclaimer with a knowing smirk.  As Otto von Bismarck famously advised, "Never believe in anything until it has been officially denied."

If anyone ever wanted to charge up conservitives around the US...and ensure the 2008 election for the Republicans...then an impeachment is the answer. As nasty as politics are now...it can only get worse if this silly game is played out.

Here's another indication of FreeRepublic's value in the struggle for media control:
BLOG READERS UP 45% IN Q1
One-sixth of the U.S. population read web logs in the first quarter, a report says.
Red Herring August 8, 2005

U.S. blog readership in the first quarter jumped 45 percent to 49.5 million people, or one-sixth of the total U.S. population, a report said Monday, suggesting the blogosphere is becoming increasingly alluring to online advertisers. ...

The most popular blogs were FreeRepublic with 3.6 million visitors, Drudge Report with 2.3 million, Fleshbot (a Gawker Media blog) with 1.2 million, followed by Gawker and Fark, both with 1.1 million. Regularly updated blogs won a huge portion of the overall visits. Drudge Report alone had 44.3 million visits. ... Keep reading...

This article improperly categorizes FreeRepublic and the Drudge Report as "blogs," but the point still stands.

I believe the Democrats are nearing the brink of a real turnaround in their fortunes, but a move like this would just about stop them in their tracks.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they tried it. Fortunately for the Republicans the Dims have supplanted them as the "Stupid Party".

I dont think Hillary will be for-front on impeachment.

Any impeachement hearings will be quickly hi-jacked by the far left.

If the first theing the DEMS do is impeachment when the yget power in Jan 2007, they will forever discredit themselves as a serious political party

""OK, I'll bite. They impeach Bush and then get Cheney to be president for the remainder of the term, and then he runs.......and wins. That works.""

they will probably try to impeach both of them at the same time and install Nancy Pelosi as President.

For any Democrat or group of Democrats to impeach President Bush, they have to have a justifiable cause, (which they don't). Secondly, they would have to have control of the Senate, or House, to get their impeachment thru (which they don't). Thirdly, they would have to have to have team work within the Democratic party, to pull it off. (which they don't have). Fourthly, Democrats would have to part with some of their hard earned money , to support their impeachment efforts. (which they won't do). Fifthly, Just because you do not personally like someone, does not mean you can impeach them

Last but not least, is the Hillary Factor in all of the talk about impeachment and Hillary's part in impeaching President Bush, everyone seems to forget Hillary is up for re-election. Hillary is trying desperately hard to seem likable, moderate, and stable, for re-election for her Senate Seat....and to achieve that, she can not roll in the mud, like the mud loving , mud slinging , mud loving hog she is.

As for Hillary's run for President in 2008. Hillary will never look good in the "cold light of day".

Does anyone in here actually think that Hillary can Run for President, and not have her personal past come back to bite her in the Butt?

" Neville Chamberlain could not have been so ugh.. diplomatic.. as this post"

Chamberlain is not remembered for being a blunt diplomat. He is remembered for weakness and timidity. He is the poster boy for cowering before Hitler and selling out a free nation for "Peace in our time." link

So, I am asking for some clarity here. Which nation is Poe suggesting should be sacrificed and handed over to the forces of fascism? And before which "Hitlerian" figure is Poe cowering so that we may secure "Peace in our time?" Certainly you are not suggesting President Bush! President Bush, and Richard Poe, are acutely aware of the danger facing us, and who intends to destroy us. Chamberlain was catastrophically clueless about the dangers facing England.

We do have something akin to Chamberlain today, and IMO, "it" is far worse. What we have is a combination of Benedict Arnold, Quisling, and Chamberlain all rolled up in a neat package laughingly called the "Democrat Party."

The vileness and ruthlessness of certain "Democrats" is easily the equal of fascism or communism. Poe's stance against these people is more reminiscent of Winston Churchill than Neville Chamberlain.

and that in 2006 a Democratic majority will be elected to the House of Representatives, and in February of 2006 impeachment proceedings will begin

No need to read much further than that, is there?

The Democrats are going to take the majority in the House and begin proceedings BEFORE they are elected?

I don't think so. Fools.

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?
Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.
Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts,
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I can't explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
