Exactly. Piro has put away thousands of rapists as DA, also.

While I would like to see Pirro win, my take on 2006 is that Hillary is unbeatable in New York. She is actually quite _popular_ there (gag!). With an eye on the 2008 presidential contest, the libs and Democrats will pull out all the stops to get her re-elected.

The gruesome and unexpected news is that William Weld is eyeing a candidacy as _governor_ in New York state? Yipes!

Hello, Governer Spitzer!

Cheers!

Hmm, Westchester, Arkansas?

Jeanine Ferris Pirro is the District Attorney of Westchester County, New York. Now serving her third, four-year term in office, Pirro began her career in law enforcement as a prosecutor in Westchester more than twenty-five years ago. In 1978, she headed the county's first domestic violence unit, one of only four in the nation. Later, she was elected the first woman jurist to sit on the Westchester County Court bench. Pirro's High Technology Crimes unit has garnered nationwide attention for its undercover stings against pedophiles and child pornographers who use the Internet to prey on children. To date, over 70 arrests have been made, with a conviction rate of 100%. Pirro lives in Westchester with her husband and two children.

At minimum, we want someone to bang up PIAPS pretty good and force her further to the left... will hurt her presidential ambitions.

Guess it all depends on how you view the MSM. Because, according to both Brokaw and Rather, the "third leg of the triangle is missing now." This is how they continue to view themselves. Nevermind that the "triangle" has been proven to be a pyramid scheme. Do they learn from reality? nope. They just continue down their elitist path. Believing they are relevant.

This is very bad. The description of her mindset and intent is all about . . . having "a political life if she loses to Hillary Clinton and gets 40% of the vote or so".

Excuse me, I have no intention of sending money to someone whose top and only priority is not beating Hillary and destroying her race for the White House before it starts.

Toss this one overboard and get a real candidate, and I don't even care if that real candidate is conservative. All I care about in that race is winning. With damn near anyone. NOTHING is more important than stopping Hillary before she has even a chance at the WH.

You're right, but the Republicans have to run somebody. Pirro is a high profile Republican and has spent plenty of time on TV for the last several years. Even if she doesn't win, this will give her the exposure she needs to become the top Republican figure in the state, after Rudy, that is.

But, don't count her out. If she can turn a few percentage points in the city, she has a chance.

I understand your perspective, but if Pirro forces PIAPS to take even more extreme leftist positions to assure her re-election, it will severely damage her presidential ambitions.

Overall I see this as very good news. And it will be much harder for PIAPS to run against a woman than a man.

This is a great thing. I see where this is going.

If Hillary runs against a nobody, she doesn't have to spend alot of money. Money which would go to her Presidential run.

What Pirro does is it brings in serious donors and forces Hillary to spend millions of dollars that she would horde for 2008.

Can Pirro win? Not a chance. Can Pirro force Hillary to spend 20 mil? Yup. Can Pirro bring out all of Hillaries flaws? Another yes. If the Clinton hit squad goes after Pirro like we know it will, Pirro will have the opportunity to strike back, with all the country to see.

This is no lose for the Republicans. Pirro has to ask one question. "If elected I will serve the entire six year term because New Yorkers deserve a Senator that will be there when they need her. Will you pledge today Mrs. Clinton to do the same thing if elected?"

Pirro should wear white pant suits to make a point of their differences.

She also needs to learn some buzz words that'll enrage the beast.

So you want a Hillary clone as top Republican in the state?

That's just pathetic.

If nothing else it will force Hil to spend money. She won't just have a cake-walk.
I think a debate between these two will be pretty interesting ,in that, Pirro is good good on her feet. She's used to speaking without a script and WON'T shy away from the press. Hil must always control her environment and Pirro has no need to. This should be good.

Yet, for so many --Freepers!-- on that long MB26 thread: Peter Jennings was a valued friend and cherished memory. A man they didn't know except for his regular appearance on TV, where he was nightly presented in the best of lights by a staff of thousands. So potent was the MSM! So powerful it's ability to spin webs of delusion that trapped so many -- not even Freepers were (or are) immune.
