Do you think I would have allowed just some warm body to represent me on a matter of such import? I am not cavalier when it comes to stating my opinions or my beliefs.

There is one other aspect that should be addressed as well. No, I don't condone wild-eyed ranting or running naked through the streets in the name of a cause BUT I don't have any problem being impolite or abrupt when faced with an opposing force nor will I be cowed when facing a superior number.

What was I supposed to think? You asked for a "temp agency" in the immediate vacinity and stated that you would be willing to pay someone "$8.00 an hour." That kind of wage would barely get you a "warm body," and now you are insinuating that you would have standards for that person. Forgive me when I question whether those two ideas are competing.

I realize you are being at least mildly hyperbolic, but please don't forget about what YOU posted that I was simply responding to.

I have to work this Saturday, or I'd be there. For some reason it seems like every time there's something FR related I have to work-perhaps it's a plot by my Dimmy Deaniac Boss.

Oh, I'll do that and I feel that she needs to be challenged on this but to do so is freeping a soldier's mother that died for his country. Regardless of how messed up she is, she was his mom. After I read the family letter I had 2nd thoughts. I felt they were awfully rough on her. To freep the woman doesn't feel right to me and might shed bad light on FR. The enemy is wanting us to do something. What? Make us so mad (canceled bbq:') we show up for a shouting match? Or maybe they really don't want us there. We do know they want publicity and if we freep Ms Cindy , will we be playing right into their hands? Can those of us that are going, meet early or make plans by private mail? Yall want to?

BRAVO!!!! FReep the traitors and support our troops & our President!

From tonight's Drudge Report (8/11/05):

FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY!
Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish.

Thanks, Cherie

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Regardless of how messed up she is, she was his mom.

Yep. And she's also an American citizen mocking the Commander-in-Chief and our military's mission during a time of war. The troops need - no, WANT - to see public support.

I could make the same arguments about us mean ol' conservatives at Walter Reed, picking on those poor defenseless women dressed up in purty pink, just innocently wanting to bring our boys and girls home. I can assure you that the military personnel and the large majority of cars driving by do not share that concern.

I'd love to be there, Huber. I read the thread yesterday. The birth of my grandbaby is imminent. While I'm midwifing here, I'm expecting y'all to midwife a wonderful event in Crawford, celebrating progress in Iraq and Afghanistan, and our very precious and wonderful troops and Admin - making Liberty a reality.

Thanks for the ping Huber.

When I read this post I seriously thought about going. But on Sat I'm using the cargo van to help a friend's daughter move to college up in Anderson. From there I'm gonna go hang in the Smokies for 3-4 days.

But I really did think seriously about going.

It's a long ways for me but my mom lives in Waco and I haven't seen her lately. Thinking about it.

My son's driving from the East Coast to the West Coast, and is thinking about stopping by Crawford to lend a hand to the support-our-troops effort. Got any suggestions on where to get a room? Or who to check in with?

Anyone know the # of protesting lefties vs. Pro Bush, troop crowd sizes?

Fox was saying there was about 250 there supporting Bush and the Troops, and the vid clips that fox showed show large numbers lining the roadway.

They showed pics of sheehan and company and I saw very few people with her or around her in those shots, and most the MSM refuse to give any numbers at all about the # of lefties there.

My guess is that there are very few lefties/antiwar folks out there.

Personally I hope that it was good for the freep and pro Bush crowd. I cannot stand the fact that this woman treads on her sons memory by using it for her own agenda. Heck even her family has asked her to stop.
