WASHINGTON — The federal commission that probed the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks was told twice about "Able Danger," a military intelligence unit that had identified Mohamed Atta and other hijackers a year before the attacks, a congressman close to the investigation said Wednesday.

I cannot forget how despicable the 9/11 hearings were: the show trial of Condi Rice conducted by Ben Veniste and the useful idiots who would applaud every time he grilled her. Richard Clarke grandstanding to the MSM and the audience, which seemed like it was the same audience for the Bill Maher show. Chris Matthews and CNN's portrayal of the 'Jersey Girls' (the liberal template for Cindy Sheehan was mastered here) as representative of all 9/11 families. What a joke that the big bad Clinton admin was tough on terror.

It's easier to read this link. Everything I posted is on it and more, in chronological order.

Don't scream..write our politicans. Rush is right (as usual) the busy bodies in the Beltway oare motivated by three things above all else...well four in the case of The Swimmer:

Greed

Sex

and above all else

Fear.

Oh the swimmer? Booze.

Anyway...it's fear of losing elections that really motivates them, fear of losing power, prestige, etc...

We need to write very calm but pointed letter to each of our elected representatives in D.C. (Sadly my two Senators are Durbin and Obama)...both with emails, snail mail letters, and phone calls. It's clear that the 09/11 Commission didn't do their job, it's clear that the Clinton Administration utterly failed in it's job to protect America, and it's clear that Bush need to shove the "new tone" business out the door...now.

Further proof Clinton's administration was asleep at the wheel...

Billy Jeff only wanted to be POTUS. He did not want to do the job, that would have been too stressfull. Same with the Hildabeast...she just wants to be POTUS so she can make everyone miserable.

For the eight years of the "Clintoons" I, like you, shaked my head muttering "WTF?"

Fortunately, with FR and the New Media, the Truth has a way of bubbling to the surface.

This could be a blockbuster story if the blogs keep on it until the Old Media has to notice.

The old media is never going to report this straight. ever. Just as Rather never came clean even when cornered like a rat. They may be surprised if it becomes a blockbuster story without their participation.

How about the info about Building 7 and how Silverstein said to implode it? Yeah, imagine, NOTHING about Building 7's collapse made it into the report. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?!

On Wednesday, a source familiar with the Sept. 11 commission — formally known as the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (search) — told FOX News that aides who still had security clearances had gone back to the National Archives outside Washington, D.C., to review notes on Atta and any information the U.S. government had on him and his terror cell before the Sept. 11 attacks.

I guess Sandy B. didn't get all the documents. Depending on which "staff" members these might be, no one else may ever "get" them either.

I think we're almost at the point where that just doesn't matter anymore.

the information came into the committee thru Gorelick and one other and it was they who decided what information was forwarded to other members

In many, many FR threads during the 9-11 Committee meetings, we conjectured that Gorelick was put on the committee specifically to filter and ensure the 'direction' of the investigation.

Gorelick was too prominent in taints throughout the 90s. Quite possibly, she was instrumental in stopping the Fed investigation into a Middle Eastern connection for the Murrah bombing. She was instrumental in constructing 'the wall' between the CIA and FBI. She also has connections to the TWA800 investigation.

Her being on the Committee was NOT because she nothing else to do with her time. She was there to cleanse the record, as much as possible, of the Clinton Administration. And what she was unable to corral, Sandy Bergler managed to steal from the National Archives.

The Democrats wouldn't agree to include it.

Of course they wouldn't agree to include it. It was ammo to use against Bush. And now they're trying to screw Rove. It becomes progressively more difficult to trust the Democrats.

Between Jamie Gorlick and Dietrich Snell this 911 commission was all wrapped up in a nice little package, complete with this Administration's blessing?

And funded with the sweat of your brow.
