The photo Cindy Sheehan did not want the world to see: President Bush plants a consoling kiss on the cheek of grieving antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan last year at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Mrs. Sheehan is staging a protest vigil in Crawford, Texas demanding a second meeting with President Bush to demand an explanation for why her son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq a year ago April.

The photo of the president consoling Mrs. Sheehan, and a companion photo from the meeting, used to be hosted on Mrs. Sheehan's tribute site to her son. The site, called Casey's Peace Page also contains information about Mrs. Sheehan's antiwar and anti-Bush activities.

However, the photos were removed some time ago, but the hosting page and captions were left there until this week when they were removed along with a copy of the now-controversial Vacaville Reporter article, after that article which contradicts Mrs. Sheehan's current account of her meeting with the president was publicized by the Drudge Report.

The images were found in Google's image cache by Freeper Hipaatwo.

The pictures are from last year, when she met with the President and before her current publicity stunt.

This woman and her story are just not that important

She is the poster girl for people who want us to get out of Iraq.

That is true. I went to that other site the other day and they had a thread up that I found interesting. When I went back, it was gone. I kept clicking on the Back button on the computer and it finally showed up. I printed it.

On "Casey's Peace Page" there is a statement at the bottom that says, "Any comments, questions or suggestions contact: Tiggerloli@aol.com". So I sent an email along with the Google pics of Cindy meeting with President Bush and asked, "Why aren't the pictures of Cindy meeting with President Bush on Casey's Peace Page"?

That is DeDe Miller. Casey's Aunt and Cindy's sister.

You know, I was in school back in the Vietnam era. I would see on TV the reaction to the troops coming home. I did not do anything because I did not think it would make a difference. I should have known better since one of my high school friends was killed over there. He was an only child and his mother really lost it after his death. She was int he same nursing home my 101 year old mom is in and she would walk the halls at all hours. I felt so sorry for her but she really did not know what she was doing. I just talked with her when I saw her. All of this reminds me of that story about when the came for the Jews, I was not one so it did not bother me. It goes on like that and ends with something like, when they came for me, there was no one around to care. We have to make our voices heard. We can not be silent any longer. The Internet has made that possible. Some of my friends think I am off my rocker for caring so much about where this country is headed but it is time for us to be heard.
