Why would they report on their cocktail party friends? Not gonna happen.
If Rush Limbaugh had stolen money from poor children and alzheimers patients he would be off the air and awaiting sentencing. And the coverage in the MSM would make the Natalee Holloway coverage look like a 30 second reader once a week.
True, but then again Rush has 20 million listeners and is a major public figure.
By contrast, AAR has 6 listeners and no one really cares about Al Franken.
So I could see why there would not be as much news value as there would be if Rush were caught in this type of scandal.
Of course, that doesn't really explain why the MSM went whole hog in promoting ARR when it first came out.
