BRISTOL, August 16, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Kelly Taylor, a 28-year-old woman who is not terminally ill, has ended her attempt to starve herself to death after 19 days because of the pain of the effects of starvation.
Mrs. Taylor claimed that she had chosen self-starvation as the only method of suicide that would not leave her husband Richard liable for prosecution. Nevertheless, after 19 days, she said, It has become too uncomfortable and I would not wish what I have been going through on my worst enemy.
Taylor suffers from a congenital heart condition known as Eisenmenger Syndrome which, despite being labeled so by news media, is not a terminal condition. It does, however, reduce her mobility and leaves her dependent upon oxygen. She said her reason for wanting to die was that, as a disabled person, she could no longer make a contribution to society.

Of course not. It was a peaceful, painless, dignified way to die. This lady is obviously a right wing plant! (sarc/off)
[ /sarcasm on...]
So I guess what happened to Terri Schiavo was NOT too painful and "Undignified". But then she was also de-hydrated.
[ /sarcasm off...]
She should feed herself feet first into a chipper shredder and let her slime cloud get blown onto a compost pile. This would complete the circle of life, return her to the good earth and contribute to feeding people. All in all - a fine contribution to society.
But I bet she cheered along with the rest of the Left at the torture of Terri Schaivo.
I assume you are talking about Kelly Taylor, and not Terri Schiavo (Terri Schiavo was then burned in an oven like the victims of the Nazi holocaust after the sentence of execution was carried out.)

Thanks for posting.
Yes, I was talking about Taylor. From the article: "She said her reason for wanting to die was that, as a disabled person, she could no longer make a contribution to society."
Terry Schiavo had no choice - she was killed.
Looks to me like she just did make a "contribution" to society.
She proved that starvation is "not" the peaceful, painless, dignified way to die that they said it was when they killed Terri.
No, she needs a good psychiatrist and therapist. She obviously was very depressed to have made such a decision and attempted to die that way.
Anybody who is a 'Euthansia activist' promoting a culture of death should most definately lead the way with their own suicide. Since she cannot find it within herself for kill herself, she ought to find a better means to off herself or just shut up.
These kind of hypocritical people are just the kind of thoughtless fools that have brought euthanasia to Europe. 'Oh my' they whine, 'I didn't know it would hurt so much! I'll wager that there are many who have been killed in Holland - against their own will - that would have prefered that Europe's 'euthanasia activists' had killed themselves too.
Your right, though, she does need a shrink. In the event she can't find a competent one, I wish her the best of luck in killing herself. I only hope that she doesn't attempt to share her demise with others who don't care to check out yet.
I hope she does not kill herself. I also hope that she drops her association with euthanasia fanatics. I don't even believe that animals should be euthanized unless there is nothing else the vet can do and the animal is suffering. For people, there is generally something that can be done, even if it is to stop the pain with high doses of analgesics.
