The ace News reporter who broke the Air America scandal said the story has not been driven by ideology but rather by questions of mismanaging public funds for youth programs. He also called on the major news organizations to abandon liberal bias and report on the growing scandal.
The July 2nd issue was the first to expose the funneling of $875,000 for the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club to Air America.
The New York Post and internet bloggers were the only entities that cited Horowitz’s articles.
The community is very liberal. The streets are named after famous socialist leaders including former Democratic Socialist presidential candidate Eugene Debbs.
Hannity applauded Horowitz for his “intellectual honesty”
“It’s past time for the New York Times to report on it...
“I wanted to set the record straight about who broke the story. Even though our papers serve only 40,000 compared to the major media that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get credit for a story we broke.”
Two days after the broadcast, the Times ran a piece in the Metro section that essentially rehashed previous information already reported on by Horowitz and others.
The Gloria Wise organization has 27 youth centers, four nursery schools and five senior centers throughout the city serving 20,000 people annually.
“The scandal has had a major impact in Co-op City and throughout the Bronx.”
Seven hundred and fifty employees have so far been laid off.
“I wonder what Charlie Rosen was thinking when his organization did this because I don’t think it could have happened without his knowing.”

750 people lose their jobs because of Air Enron, whoops, Air America, and the media ignores this?? Why is it Rush Limbaugh commits the victimless offense of abusing prescription drugs and his transgressions are SCREAMED from every headline. The media's darling Al Franken helps to send 750 people to the unemployment line through fraud and the media turns up its nose at it. I guess the media can't spare any print space or air time from reporting on Cindy Sheehan's every fart.

If they can't tag "Impeach Bush", "Rove must resign", or any other number of their anti-Administration slogans to the headline, it isn't news.
Some of the money must have reached Air America, otherwise it would be off the air by now.
