I had a friend who had a 1964 Volvo in 1979. He needed a generator, but Volvo and all the car parts stores wanted $100 smackers for a rebuilt. He noticed that the Bosch generator had a part number beginning with "113-". At the time all right hand drive (Not UK) VW parts began with "113-". So he called a parts store and asked for a rebuild generator with a part number "113-...." and got one for $50.
