Because some times it's good to laugh, here are a couple snippets from Jeeni Criscenzo, candidate from Congress from Oceanside CA. From her campaign site:
Seeing how the American people were being manipulated by an alliance between the neo-conservative-controlled Republican party and the corporate-controlled media, Jeeni decided to take to the road to report directly on the extraordinary events leading up to the Presidential election in 2004. She sold everything to finance her mission and traveled from the FTAA protests in Miami to the G8 Summit in Georgia, to demonstrations in Washington DC and both the Democratic and Republican Conventions, writing daily reports in her blog, CPR4Democracy.After the Republican Convention, Jeeni put all of her energy into supporting the Kerry Campaign. Then the unthinkable happened and Bush claimed the presidency once again. Jeeni realized that just writing about what was happening to our democracy wasnt enough. It was time to get actively involved. She set out for California to be with her family and decided to settle down in Oceanside to dedicate her life to working for peace, democracy and human rights.
As each day brings repeated failures from our Congress to stand up against the devastating neo-con free-for-all happening in Washington, with our Constitutional rights being chiseled away, a gluttonous corporate feeding frenzy destroying our economy, removal of all environmental protections, and continued support for a war based on lies, Jeeni knew it was time to do whatever it takes to change the balance of power in Washington. It was time to stand up and be the Representative we need someone with heart, smarts and guts.
From a post of hers at Howard Dean's Blog for America:
But what made this event exceptional was its contrast to what happened just down the street, the week before. There, at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center, about 300 people sat inside an auditorium lined on both sides with police in full riot gear regalia, while one speaker after another spewed out carefully coded words that sanctioned racism and hate. It was billed as a "Public Forum on the Illegal Immigrant Crisis". But the public was never given the chance to speak. I had joined several peace and justice activists that evening who dared to arrive early and stand in line, surrounded by paunchy, middle-aged supporters of the Minutemen Project. For our tenacity, we were rewarded with the coveted tickets to go inside and hear our State Senator and Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo, among others, blame "illegal aliens" for everything from a TB epidemic to the traffic on I-5!When my friends and I couldn't stand another second of the blatant bashing of the most vulnerable people in our community, we soldiered out past the armed guards into the armed camp outside. Two groups of demonstrators, one calling for immigrants to go back to Mexico and the other calling for the racist Congressman to go back to Colorado, were kept apart by a phalanx of police and SAWT officers decked out in riot gear and backpacks that seemed to be load with bullets. I'd felt like I'd entered the twilight zone and was reliving the rise of Hitler. Only this time, it was undocumented workers that were being made the scapegoats...
"Deaniacs" have "minds"? You have got to be joking!!! That's like saying that "McCainiacs" have minds......
Talk about an exercise in futility!!
Another sick twisted freak. What a shame.

LOL Oceanside, CA is home to the Pendelton Marine Base - not exactly moonbat friendly. She must be nuts!
Dean is a valuable asset to the Republican party. I rather like him. He's more useful to us than he ever was to them.

Well, isn't that cozy!
I agree, but I still want to punch him in the face.
