You're going to ignore what you don't want anymore. Replace that behavior you don't want with something that you do want, which is helping you with the dishes. But you must reward each tiny, tiny increment towards the whole.

Every psychology textbook in the world teaches this. It isn't unique to dog-training (or husbands...it works great on wives, too). Does this author really think she invented the wheel? ;)

I'd guess that domestically women rule the roost in 3 out of 4 homes. Outside the house I think it's just the opposite, but not inside. How many husbands can rearrange the furniture without their wife's approval? I'm guessing not too many. If their wife does it though, they find out about it when they get home and everything's in a different location.

I heard this today too while at work. I turned to my co-worker, also a conservative (we can listen on our headphones), and I said, "and these people used to have an Empire at one time, now look at them. Sad, really." A few days ago, after work, we talked about the Empire system on how many nations who used to be world powers have really fallen. I think most of the real men (well, non-Freeper types, UK Freepers are OK and are considered real men/women, I want to keep the friendy fire down to a minimum) are the soccer hooligans, tank them up on alcohol and there ain't no stopping them. B-) Still though, we ain't that far behind with all the Madame Sapphos we have over her who want to castrate our society.
