One more question: does it automatically update, or do I keep downloading?

It should update automatically every 2 minutes. You'll see. I assume you got it working, right?

Good hair and fresh coffee --- what else does a girl need during a hurricane? LOL!

If I had to choose one, I'd go for the coffee! ;-)

Does blam have a good Saferoom yet, or do we need to have a fundraiser?

I got awfully tired of hearing the wind blow last year, and we never even really got the bad part of any of the storms, just the edges of all of them.

I have to spend more hours in a reclining position with my leg elevated

Come on, you're bound to be more inventive than that; you certainly can figure a way to sit at the comptuer with that leg elevated!

southeast Ft Lauderdale here...we've been without power for about an hour...not a lot of rain....some pretty strong gusts, maybe up to 75mph...

LOL. That is very true.

In fact, I think Rebelbase has a graphic JUST for that, doesn't he?

Me too, there are some advantages to being married for 25 years...the hair doesn't have to look good all the time...the coffee is a necessity.

Okay, that's pretty cool. I had a different dynamic layer loaded for the satellite view, and it had a definite timelag.

I wrongly assumed the one you gave Howlin was the one I already had installed. It wasn't.

Yours is much cooler.

Here's a view of Miami, facing South with the viewpoint being at the southernmost part of the storm's eye. I have the 3D Buildings turned on just for effect. I made the colorful Radar layer somewhat transparent so that more ground detail can be seen. (1629 Eastern) The heaviest rainfall is just to the South and SouthEast of Miami as you can see:

Looks like this one is going to miss our kids in the Pensacola area this time, but we will be praying for all of you on the other side.

I wish I could. I've been sitting at this computer with the leg elevated since I broke it....but the therapist said that is not enough to get rid of the swelling - my foot has to be higher than my heart. In fact she also blamed the continued swelling on my spending so much time sitting :(

I just can't seem to win.............

Well I would take shelter in a library, so that I would have access to a computer.
