I think Geraldo is right, which is one reason why I think there should be a death penalty for child molesters. Give them a couple of chances to "rehabilitate", then give them the needle. The way it is now, most just get a wrist slap and they continue on as they have been, hurting more children.

The reason why they continue is because we give them second chances. No more of that. First offense, life without parole or the needle. In Florida there's always been that law, it's just not well enforced.

He gives us no scientific evidence or research to back up his claim, we simply only need to take his word for it.

Absolutely correct! I have been telling the proponents of castration that for years. Making a molester incapable of getting a woodie changes nothing in their head. They will simply channel the aberrant sexual needs into other forms of abuse.

Wonder if Whoraldo thinks it's OK to abort the baby (Just based on this, not convenience) once scientist isolate the "homosexual gene". Ditto with the "molester gene".

My guess is Whoraldo would be the first reporter doing hit pieces on couples who abort their babies due to racism and intolerance.

But I believe that, like homosexuals, child molesters are born not made. The APA published a study within the last three years that proved that some homosexuals are not born that way, but are made, raising the question "Are ANY born that way?"

On the other hand, how do you explain people who are molested as children and don't grow up to be molesters themselves?

We need to find out why some people who are born into abject poverty grow up to overcome the odds by becoming very successful & others use it as an excuse to commit crimes and never reach their potential. Same with pedophiles & serial killers, etc. Not everyone who is molested as a child becomes a pedophile - why are some people taken over by the evil forces and others reject it?

Is it a spiritual force that saves humans from their darkest thoughts?

The theory behind removing their testicles (castration) is that they no longer have the "urge" to do anything sexually.

This thread is full of exotic blame shifting over a behavior problem. Michael Jackson is proof enough that castration does not work for this purpose. Blaming a body part for a behavior problem is similar to blaming guns for violent crime.

Gerald Rivera told his colleague Bill O'Reilly he is certain child molesters are born that way and cannot be effectively treated or cured.

Seems it was not that long ago that this same argument was starting to be used in gaining normalcy for the gays. Then, there was a miraculous discovery of a "gay gene," which no one has yet been able to replicate. I even read a small article at one time where some Psychiatrists have said they believe Pedophiles are also "born that way."

Are we now seeing the early days of "acceptance" for pedophilia? Will this lead to breeding of children just to be abused by these monsters? The thought makes me sick, but what with the looney left going further and further in debauchery every day, it wouldn't surprise me.
