Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Thanks for the explanation. I guess I've learned better today the love, support and caring with which yellow ribbons are placed by most Americans who use them.
It's so weird .. never had the problem before with a pic everybody else could see .. LOL. How are you, snugs?? Hope things have quieted on the Dad and computer front, and you're having a pretty relaxing weekend.

Geez, that's embarrassing. But still the person that brought the sign should've known better. The whole point of those signs are to infiltrate the enemy's camp, not our own.
I can see your point. I wasn't there so I will take your word that the timing was wrong. But we still need to educate folks so we don't go around attacking our own. We knew they were going to join us ahead of time. Perhaps they even had bumper stickers etc. to hand out. I know my hubby got some from them for his car.
I took LOTS of good video, but I'm wondering how to distribute it, once it is edited.
I was thinking I could stream it over the web, but DVD is what I will be editing it for. I'm not sure how a long video would work over the web.

I have over four hours of video to condense into an hour or so.
My wife, texjan and I, drove to Crawford today from home.....went to the rally, I estimate 3000+.....held signs, took pictures, went to Camp Qualls, got out on the road across from the lefties at Casey I to hoot and holler...drove to Casey II and honked and held signs as we drove by....
We outnumbered em good today, but what about tomorrow? We gotta keep up the pressure....
PW should have known that their satire used on their posters worked best, and probably only, at a rat rally. It was soooooo successful at rat rallys they were stupified. Well, MORE stupified.

Actually, tearing up even a genuine leftist's sign would have been out of bounds, but I see no reason for "conservatives" to try for a reputation of being both thuggish AND stupid.

One side "War, what is it good for?" Show these hippies with their coffins, peace signs, unwashed hair, saddam with his 100% elections, Osama in power. etc.."Absolutely Nothing". Show millions free, attending school, voting, Saddam imprisoned etc....then the flip side "say it Again"?
Of course the owner of the song might object, I don't know if the rights to it have gone to someone that would allow it or not, and I don't expect the RNC would be that in your face. But a 527 could. :-)

I got a LOT of that on video, up close and personal, when the press was grilling the ProtestWarrior. This little cuban woman was going berserk on him, once she saw the Che Gueverra image .
I should win a Pulitzer for this, the video is so good. Okay, that's a reeeal stretch.
But I got some *great* shots of the incident. LOTS of great footage, including one of the local firemen calling the chief of police, telling him everything is okay.
They offered to take the guy onstage and apologize to him and explain everything, but the guy was too rattled. He left and went to Camp Cindy.
