Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.

It would be SO great if there could be a compilation of this event .. website, DVD, whatever, that could be created and sent to the troops .. imagine how much of a boost this will be for them.

That poor little town down there in Texas has been through hell with all the crowds and attention.
May I suggest that if you dine this afternoon or tonight, consider dining in the area, in Crawford or near Crawford. That may lengthen the waits at restaurants, but go in with your Pro USA/Anti Cindy regalia on in full view...AND, tip 5% MORE of what you usually tip to that waiter or waitress. Then, write on the bill, along with your first name and home town, something like "thanks for showing us the hospitality of your town and putting up with all of us. We appreciate your graciousness. Signed, another supporter of our troops in Iraq and of President Bush visiting Crawford"
That news will spread like wildfire in the town and neighboring towns. The anti-war jerks and traitors are too low class to tip higher or show such consideration. In a short time, Crawford and vicinity will know JUST WHO SUPPORTS THEM, TOO. (This will come in handy if future pro-USA demonstrations during Bush's tenure become necessary in Crawford.)
I think CNN has found a place where the smallest amount of our people are going to be so they can report that the numbers are the same. I don't believe they were at the rally. I think they may have been near the ditch. Why am I not surprised.
