Northeastern Arizona. I paid $2.65 at ten this morning when the "media" started screaming that everyone needed to raise their gas prices to help out and start gouging Americans. A few hours later, THAT SAME GAS went up to $3.00 a gallon. I'm polishing my bullets this evening. Most of my neighbors are doing the same. I couldn't find any "happy campers" this afternoon.

Well after having taco bell for lunch.. :)

Seriously, price jumped about $.40. No rationing as far as I have heard and no long lines at the pumps this evening.

Some people went out and filled up. I topped the tank off on Sunday and I usually get about two and a half weeks to a tank so I chose not to join the mass hysteria.

And that is the latest from Western Michigan.

Well, you know which one made the nightly news.

I swear, they are flaming a panic.

For one thing, gas is now delivered in armored tankers, with names like Wells Fargo and Brinx.

I took an arm and a leg from a mannequin to buy gas today. The girl there wasn't thrilled.

got the old Corsica fired up

LOL! I bought a V6 1994 Corsica new ($12000) . A great car. Just got rid of it after 185,000 miles. Still had the original exhaust. Only downside was five alternators replaced. Small price to pay. Best American car I ever owned.

$2.79 in Olive Branch MS. Up 50 cents since this morning when I filled up my pickup. Filled up the wife's car this afternoon and Kroger was flooded with buyers.

We both have Nissan 2.5 liters.

Looks like even the more rural parts of the country will join California and others soon, in that "Pump and then pay" will become a thing of the past.

People looking at paying 30 or 40 zops for less than a full tank will start conveniently 'forgetting to pay'and just kinda drive off.

Here in Sarasota, it's at $2.75.

A co-worker got a call from her son in New York. He says when he went to work this morning, gas was at $2.65. When he returned home, it was at $3.00. That's 35 cents in one day. Unfrigginlievable.

Falls Church, VA - 2 Shell stations 2 blocks away from each other, the one on the highway's cheapest is $2.98, the other $2.89. Right now plenty, but the $2.89 station is very busy.

Just gassed up the hybrid.

2.89 in the SF Bay Area, up from 2.69 2 days ago.

Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Still, may be time to get one of those scooters at Pep boys Auto. LOL!

We both have Nissan 2.5 liters.

I drive a 2002 Mazda 626. Cost me $39.50 to fill on Sunday. I'll need to fill again on Friday.

What the hell is going on????

It's a bad situation. There is a crisis. What does one expect when they haven't built a refinery in decades. This is sick.

Drill and build!

Two days ago, central Indiana: $2.62.

Today : $3.29 and rising.

$4 a gallon is a possibility by the weekend, and I'm hearing rumors of stations running out of gas soon.
