TAMPA BAY, August 31, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Ten year-old Joshua Heldreth, the eldest of eight children, was arrested on Good Friday of this year for trespassing while attempting to bring a drink of water to Miss Terri Schaivo. Days later Schiavo died of intentional dehydration. In court Joshua pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 hours of community service and ordered to write an apology for his actions.
The boy whose arrest photo was splashed on front pages of newspapers across the nation wrote in his apology letter, "I was arrested on Good Friday for trespassing on the hospice center's property . . . Not giving Mrs. Shiavo (sic) food or water was wrong. The reason I had to go on your property was because Jesus would do the same thing. It made me sad that she was so thirsty and it made Jesus sad too. I knew she would die without water and I am called by Jesus to be a defender of the defenceless. So I had to go on your property to try to bring her a drink."
Joshua added, "I am sorry that you didn't like that and wouldn't allow me to help save her life and one day you will have to tell God why. I won't be able to help you then like I tried to help her. I will pray for you every day . . ."
LifeSiteNews.com caught up with Joshua's father Scott Heldreth today. Scott told LifeSiteNews.com he is very proud of his son. "My son has amazed me through this whole thing," said Heldreth. The proud father said it was his son's own initiative to attempt to give the starving woman a glass of water, and despite the warning of his parents that he'd be arrested, the boy insisted. "He was the one who begged us to go down, because he wanted to give her a glass of water . . . We explained that police will never let you help . . . you'll be arrested, but he went anyways."
Pro-life leader Rev. Flip Benham of Operation Save America told LifeSiteNews.com that the whole pro-life movement shares Heldreth's pride in his son. Benham recalls the reaction of Heldreth on Good Friday as he watched his son being arrested: "When that all took place Scott was weeping, this father was weeping tears of joy seeing his son not only talk the Christian talk but walk the walk."
While the apology letter has been submitted, Heldreth told LifeSiteNews.com he's not completely sure it will be accepted.

Yes, it was me. I remember being amazed myself that the more I dug into felos de se, the more I found that applied to this sinister creature.
I wonder how it happens that these monikers attach to such beings, being so appropriate the critters themselves may not realize it. A sense of humor from Heaven, maybe. Maybe the creatures just don't get a joke.

My brother who is visiting us is quite knowledgeable on the Bible and as I mentioned the irony of names, he noted that it is biblical. He quoted 1 Samuel 25:25 for example which says, "Let not my lord the king, I pray thee, regard this naughty man, Nabal: for according to his name, he is a fool, and folly is with him:"
My brother points out there are numerous instances where this happens, where the bad guys wind up with names that betray their evil.
He also points out 1 Chronicles 2:7 where someone named Achar, which means trouble, troubles Israel and when died was buried in an area of the same name. My brother points out it is in the concordances which I do not have, but illustrating once more the plays on words and such may have a role in identifying evil.
He brings up more examples a bit hard to tell here because they take cross references, but the irony is there indeed.

As Michael Schiavo made his first public comments since killing his disabled wife in March, about 60 protestors marched outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, MN., Friday where a bioethics conference was being held.
Brother Paul O’Donnell of St. Paul, a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk and spokesperson for the Schindler family, said about 200 people attended the conference which was sponsored by the Hennepin County Medical Center. He said the attendees could see the protestors during the program due to the exterior glass wall at the hotel and that there was a heavy police presence.
Brother Paul steadfastly stood by the Schindlers at Pinellas Park.
I wouldn't trust my life with "scientific" Jay Wolfson, since he doesn't even know how to think logically. He stated that Terri did not exist as a person, because she could not think.

A RETIRED GP sparked fury yesterday by saying disabled kids should be guillotined to save cash.
The outburst by Owen Lister, 79, a Tory councillor and deputy mayor, came in a council meeting over funding to care for such youngsters.
Mr Lister said it was too expensive to look after severely disabled children — and the money should be used elsewhere.
The Disability Rights Commission said: “It’s chilling that an elected representative with responsibilities for deciding on support to disabled children should view the slaughter of innocents as legitimate public comment.”
"If they really wanted to slug this thing out, I think they'd have grounds on the basis that a court cannot force a person to apologize for something. To do so is to force a person to admit guilt; something anathema to our justice system."
That seems to be a good point. How bout it holdonnow? Was it really proper and legal for this court to demand an apology from this boy who was trying to give water to Terry Shiavo?

Good question about Crier. I think even those who agreed with her, were actually shocked at the *demonic* and hateful way she foamed at the mouth, while supporting the killing of Terri.
I saw her on Geraldo's show last Saturday night promoting her Anti-Christian book. Her face is still a mask of hate. I think her previous soft face is forever gone. She probably crossed the line with her hate for Terri and those who tried to save her life. I'm truly shocked that a person's face could change that much. Her face appears to reflect her cold heart of stone. She reminds me of some of those women in Florida who voted against saving Terri's life. One of the worst is the women who is in the US House and is from Flordia. I can't remember the name though. She uses both her maiden name and married name, IIRC.
Crier is a very scary person, whom I was fooled by for several years. Imagine if she were still a judge. Yikes!!!! Did anyone notice how some on the Judical commitee used Terri's case to question Judge Roberts recently? They distorted Terri's case by saying it was a case of a family member trying to honor a spouse's so called right to die. I fear the precedent to kill more innocents has been set all across this country.
You asked about praying for atheists in a later post. I'm thinking our only hope is prayer. Our faith cannot be in institutions or government. It's obvious they failed Terri. There are powerful forces in this world who admit they want the population to be reduced by millions. One example is Ted Turner. Abortion and euthanasia are examples of how they are doing it. The founder of planned parenhood promoted these very ideas many years ago. IMHO, only God Almighty can stop the sucess of the culture of death.
