With offers from the four corners of the globe pouring in, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has decided "no offer that can help alleviate the suffering of the people in the afflicted area will be refused," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Thursday.

That's kind of silly. Under what conditions would she turn down aid?

I agree with peyton randolph in comment #2 above. We should gladly accept aid from other countries and politely decline any aid offered by the UN.

I'll go out on a limb..but I'm guessing you're not covered by water with feces, haven't eaten in two days and have a child who is suffering from dehydration?
