MSM: Take Note - Clinton's Contribution to the Katrina Disaster ( Must Read )
The Federal Register ^ | September 1, 2005 | EagleUSA

Posted on 09/01/2005 3:21:59 PM PDT by EagleUSA

The MSM began politicizing the hurricane Katrina disaster before it even happened. Of course, their one objective is to blame President Bush, our military and anyone else that represents an idealogical barrier to their agenda. What the MSM has not done, is look in their own backyard -- in 1998 the Army Corps of Engineers provided a Draft Request to pursue the protection of noted areas in the Gulf region, to enhance their ability to survive heavy hurricane damage. The project was summarily REJECTED BY BILL CLINTON as not important.

The complicit MSM is making insane charges and accusations based on emotion and hate. Here, in the Federal Register is SOLID FACT that thier poster child, BILL CLINTON, materially contributed to the conditions which permitted hurricant Katrina to dessimate the Gulf region.

One thing I DO fault is the Democrat leadership for both New Orleans and LA for not preparing for something after 9/11 as money was being given out for cities to prepare for something similar to 9/11.

While both MS and AL seem to be working through their problems, New Orleans and LA are crying for help and not doing as well as one would expect.

Whoa. I never said it was Clinton's fault. I said we shouldn't stick our heads in the sand until it's too late. If it's true that Bush is being blamed for the actions of a previous administration (wouldn't be anything new), the facts need to be brought out.

You started out saying this was disrespectful to the dead. I disagree. There's nothing obscene about stating facts if, indeed, the crux of this thread is based on fact.

Getting the Truth out into the MSM for average Americans to see is an uphill battle for us and it's never too early to start, nor can we ever fight too hard.

I can't believe I would ever say this, but today I give Clinton full credit for common sense, he said this is no time for politics, but a time for pulling together.

Probably right. This has been a problem without support for a solution for longer than we probably know.

And you believed a Clinton (either of them) when they make such a statement?? The time for politics with the Clintons is 24 and 7, 365 per year. They do NOTHING that does not yield political benefit.

If you want to play political games with this calamity, that's fine. If you want to get down in the mud with the liberals and argue over whose fault this natural disaster was, be my guest.

Good grief. . .this is not 'playing poltical games'; knowledge is power; the 'rats' have already insinuated; stated. . .decried and delcared a 'line of responsibility' that leads to President Bush.

We do not have to go down to their level, for sure. . .but knowing the 'facts of the matter' to counter their lies IS important.

These folks are masters at creating their own self-serving reality. IT is critical. for the tragedy unfolding as we 'speak'. . .that they NOT get away with pulling this lie off.

If you do not want to 'sully' yourself; why bother even reading the post to begin with.

No, AFTER a decent interval has passed is exactly what the MSM wants. By that time, the lie will have been repeated so often it will be written in stone. The truth needs to be brought out now.

The point is not that clinton is responsible. The point is that IF we are going to start pointing fingers at a president who blocked funding the the levees, which the MSM are, it was clinton who cut the funding that might have fixed them, not Bush.

This reminds me of the Wellstone Funeral. The Democrats screamed that the Republican candidates should not be allowed to campaign, because it was indecent to campaign while Wellstone was lying in his coffin. Then they campaigned nonstop through the media. They even campaigned at the funeral. But the Republicans were not permitted to talk back.

No one should be faulted for corrected a lie and a slander against the president, a lie which was started by the Democrats and the MSM, not by us.

I called Gerard at the ABC Newsroom (he happened to pick up the newsroom phone) and asked him why they spent 10 minutes out of a 22 minute newscast to blame the President. I asked him if he thought Karl Rove had a weather machine that made the hurricane. I then asked him if he understood what was going on in NO and how could they justify playing their petty games.

He said "I understand what is going on" click.

Gerard might need more calls 1-212-456-3796

Wake up!

I got this from a lib friend today--

The mistakes of the present administration keep coming back to haunt us (individually and collectively). Just consider the amount of money withheld from New Orleans flood control since 2001 simply because the wealthy taxpayers and Iraq war promoters drained it off. (Pun intended!) Add the deaths and other losses in New Orleans to the cost of the administration's mistakes. See http://www.tompaine.com/, Why the Levee Broke)

"Personally, I think it is bad taste to try to blame anyone while people are dying. People need to look for a place to help, not a place to lay blame."

Yes, it is bad taste. . .more to the truth; it is an abominable response on the part of the Left/Demrat cadre. . .but what else would we expect from people who tend to behave like 'bloodsuckers'.

The facts are. . .'they' have gone there; and will continue to, with their lies so as to wreak havoc on President Bush's second term. . .they have been hoping for something that feels good in their teeth. . .and death/destruction/personal tragedy had them salivating immediately.

WE CANNOT let them get away with it.

Bad taste or otherwise. . .their lies must be countered with the truth.

Sorry but you are wrong. The MSM and the dems need to be countered on their accusations of wrong doing by President Bush. If you don't believe me go over to DU and get a snoot full of hate.

In regards to my post #63 above, let me look back to earlier today and see if I can find the source where I found these two items. I have probably read over 200 related articles today and I copied this one for future reference.

May take me a while to find the source, but I'll look.
