Yup...things are disappearing fast. I went to the City of New Orleans site and they've totally "sanitized" it....scumbags!

This is the same bimbo who almost sounded like a republican during the last election for her seat, almost lost, and then took an immediate left turn after barely winning re-election.

I remember that psycho!

With this comment you could say Landrieu just "mooned" New Orleans.

I love how "Hurrican" is misspelled in the title.

That's how they say it.

I tried linking on the press release prior to the one you posted entitled "Sen. Landrieu Urges Preparedness As Katrina Approaches" but the link didn't work.

Go to http://www.senate.gov/cgi-bin/nph-dpc1s?dir=~landrieu/releases/05&head=news/prtop.htm&foot=news/prbot.htm&sort=-date&cols=0,90,10 to see her press releases for this year. The one you're looking for is about the 8th one down.

Oh please tell me you are not kidding.......

Not kidding. I could not believe my ears and found it hard to believe that anyone could be that stupid. I was shell shocked. Another Freeper mentioned that she said the situation was "Fluid" when asked earlier about the relief effort.

"And Louisiana's unique wetlands provide our state with a buffer zone from natural disasters such as hurricanes."

Uh huh...

See post #63 for pictures of unique wetlands.

I hadn't heard Miss Mary say she was going to punch our President. Can someone please give details about when, where, who she said this to.
Try it, Mary, just try it !

Gads, wouldn't it be fun to work for her opponent for 2008? She lied in 2002. We told people, they didn't believe us. As a typical Democrat, she was telling everyone what they wanted to hear, and promising support. Now, as Tananto explains in Opinion Journal, she has to make some decisions that will prove she lied, either way, and she has to blow off her base and party to win reelection. IF that's possible.

No wonder Miss Mary is mad. She got caught with her pants down and isn't happy about it. Like all good Democrats, she's on both sides of each issue hoping nobody notices.

Maybe her Titanic slip was a Fraudian slip? She's sunk

...Dims trying to blame Bush...

I am so disgusted with how the print and TV media is "promoting" the Dims "story" that Bush and the Fed govt is to blame for the chaos in New Orleans. NO ONE, not even on Fox News Sunday, mentions Gov. Kathleen Blanco.
And Mayor Naglin (?sp)is pretty sly.....immediately went on defense to deflect blame from himself.

Forrest Gump could have managed the ongoing crisis better...what he lacked in native intelligence he made up for in diligence and integrity...qualities sorely missing in Blanco and the mayor.

I just listened to the recording you linked from this worthless liberal "governor". As you said, had GWB or any republican said anything like this, they'd be crucified.

She is just an absolute disgrace! Like all liberal democrat "leaders". Clintonites all. I hate 'em, g-d help me I do hate them so!

That quote should come back to haunt her. Lots of Louisiana Democrats are gonna get taken to the cleaners on this thing. Landrieu's brother is the Lieut Governor-- she's in trouble.

here's an angle I never thought of. Could the local "leadership" be held liable for failing to use act appropriately and therefore causing untold losses both locally and to the country at large (should they emerge)?
