The gun-grabbers are saying these roving gangs are "proof" the 2nd amendment shouldn't mean citizens should be armed.

5 dead is not nearly enough. The rapist/murderers of the 14-year old girl and 7 year old boy need to be flayed alive on the Superdome's 50-yard line.

One of the rapists was allegedly terminated by the crowd.

It's good to see the adults with stones in charge now.

President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush visited the Red Cross' disaster operation center, where they thanked employees. The president also announced that the White House would hold a blood drive on Friday.

Wasn't the President chastised earlier by names unknown for doing nothing but flying overhead to grasp at photo ops?

After what we've heard all week, My prediction is that two weeks ago, the officers who shot those vermin were working in some other city and in just arrived a day or two ago and were sworn-in to assist in Katrina relief.

The overwhelming majority of those stranded in the post-Katrina chaos were those without the resources to escape, and, overwhelmingly, they were black.

Please, several of the white, productive residents of NOLA who had the means and the sense to drive away when the President begged you to, should return to the city and drown themselves as a mandate of affirmative action and common decency. We simply cannot have an imbalance due to this storm. We know you will understand.

Had the National Guard been there it would have been five dead, none wounded.

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said it was likely thousands were dead based on the city's population of 500,000, the percentage who left before the storm hit and the number evacuated from the shelters.

"So you probably have another 50-60,000 out there," Nagin said. "You do the math, man, what do you think? Five percent is unreasonable? Ten percent? Twenty percent? It's going to be a big number."

Nagin could have saved hundreds of lives, if he had encouraged the city housing commission to make it mandatory to have inflatable lifeboats in each residential building.

Fire escapes are most likely mandatory. What were the odds of a citizen dying in a fire? What were the odds of a citizen drowning?

Nagin's known for a l-o-n-g time that New Orleans was threatened by submersion.

The last 300 refugees at the Superdome were evacuated Saturday evening, eliciting cheers from members of the Texas National Guard who had been standing watch over the facility for nearly a week as some 20,000 hurricane survivors waited for rescue.

Wuh? Where's the LANG?

How do we know that it is not Islamic cell groups activated to cause political and social unrest during the diseaster? All my years of hearing about hurricane diseaster, rarely does criminals shoot at helicopters. Most of the time they want to be unnoticed as they go about looting

Well, with 5 of them dead and at least one wounded, we should know shortly.

If there are such cells in the area, expect the levee's to be blown about the time the water is almost pumped out. Of course, by then, no one will care, not even those now termed evacuees.

Sender,
I presume they forgot about the three hundred plus buses the mayor did not order to evac all those people?

They chose to stay and now pay the consequences and Biloxi was hit far harder than NO. Yet no looting, raping and killings there.

I have no compassion for adults who fail to exercise common sense. I do for the "little children" who suffer, because of an ignorant mayor, governor, and their parents who chose not to leave.

I do not know you so I do not owe you,
