George S., but I get your point.

I also heard LTG Russell L. Honore use the term, "We're not stuck on stupid" the other day. I'm afraid I'm going to wear it out at work.

BTW, here is a short item from a year ago on the death of MG George S. Patton III:

If you hear an unbelievable story about MG Patton, they're probably true anyway.

"Never apologize, mister, it’s a sign of weakness."...John Wayne as Capt. Nathan Brittles in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon."

I use that line all the time with my soldiers. I'll bust them out for a real or perceived screw-up, and when they start to apologize I'll toss that line out. They usually look at me like I've lost my mind. I love it.

His exact phrase was: "We ain't stuck on stupid.”

A hell of a commander.

That sounds like it would make a great bumper sticker: "Real Americans-We ain't stuck on stupid."

LSU has the talent to go head to head with anyone in the country, including USC. How all this will affect them is anybody's guess. They could come out flat, or they could come out on a mission.

Although a lot of LSU fans were disappointed that the game was moved--most of the emergency operations based on the LSU campus will be winding up this week--it was at least arguable that it was the right decision. Rumor has it, however, that our SEC brethren are going to use the same ploy to try to avoid playing in Baton Rouge this year. I wouldn't put it past them, particularly that slimy SOB from Tennessee, Philip Fulmer.

When real men are in charge the PC crowd and the sensitivity cow down and run like roaches that they are.

I know LSU is ranked higher than us, anywhere from #5 to #12 IIRC, so it'll be a pretty good game. And hopefully injury free!

"What kind of accent is that he has?"

It sounded like it came from the South; New Orleans, maybe.

You may be surprised, I'm thrilled to see and hear someone with good sense and no PC crap coming from him. Get over your shock and quit nitpicking, haven't you ever heard a MAN tell it like it is before.

I take it you don't watch any TV at all.

Most of the network programs make General Honore sound like Captain Kangaroo in my sons pre K class.

My thoughts all along. If the press can get into New Orleans, with trucks, cars, taxis, whatever, WITH their camera crews, why in the h*ll aren't they taking in food and water instead of telling everyone how bad it is?

Good point.

I loved that footage last night on Brit's show. :) Wish more people would be plain spoken with the media.
