All I know is what is in the email. I don't even know who Sheila is.
But Small Paws does a lot of good, especially in raiding puppy mills and rescuing bichons. And they've got people who are bird dogs in being able to find bichons.
I pray that this email is true.

What if you have dog fights, cats running on the counters, urination and poop problems, etc. In the end, they are just animals when compared to human life.I thought for a moment there that you were describing the SuperDome shelter!

There are shelters in Florida which are now accepting people with pets. Pre-registration is required, first come, first served basis and all pets need to have the vaccinations up to date, tagged (may that be microchip, tattoo or collar with name/address on it) and caged. As an animal lover and pet owner it seems to me a decent and common sense alternative then leaving pets behind and becoming destitute or dying.
