A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos) - 9.6.05

President Bush had a very busy day today, meeting with Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings and First Lady Laura Bush, to discuss the educational needs of children displaced by Hurricane Katrina and how states might be able to absorb the cost of the large numbers of new students. He also met with the Cabinet to discuss the recovery efforts following the hurricane, and reuniting family members with each other, healthcare provision and finances.

At noon, the President met with representatives from national voluntary organizations to discuss how best to help the Americans who are evacuees from the hurricane. He pledged a full investigation into the response to the hurricane.

The President and First Lady also paid their respects to the late Chief Justice of the United States, William Rehnquist, spending a few moments bowing their heads at his casket.

Continue to pray for the President and the people in the ravaged Gulf Coast region, and enjoy this island of refuge from the blind attacks against our GOOD President on the Daily Dose!

Good chance that was me. You're most welcome.

When I get done raising this fine son of mine, I am going to have to move back out into a less urban area, and get me another Border Collie. It's been way too many years.

Thanks for all the beautiful pictures of our favorite person in the world, Ohio. It is good to just see him and not have the sniping commentary that goes along with pictures on TV.

Border Collie is one of the most popular breeds here in this part of Wyoming. When I get caught up and have time to give it the exercise they need, I may adopt one. I had one for 16 years as a boy.

In remembrance of those that have suffered at the hands of Katrina the photo I have selected is one of the President visiting the Bethany World of Prayer yesterday and talking to one of the many evacuees there.

In case you are not aware of our light hearted award this is given to the first poster each day

I saw the President speak with his Cabinet today. I know these Cabinet people know their boss is not going to put up with any lollygagging. (old southern word)

I could not be happier with our President. He has been more than fantastic. Thank God he is the President.
