Nagin, Blanco, Nagin, Blanco, Who the Hell Cares (vanity)
vanity | 9-8-05 | msmagoo54

Posted on 09/07/2005 10:59:53 PM PDT by msmagoo54

This is the first time I have ever posted anything. If I did it incorrectly, I apologize.

Nagin, Blanco, Nagin, Blanco – what the hell is the difference.; there are not enough people left in NO to reelect either one.

I spent the last week trying to locate relatives 40 miles north of New Orleans. After a week of searching I am happy to report that they are well, thank God; although they are cooking their food on an open fire. Trees fallen into their homes, men out all day removing trees to open the roads. No help from FEMA, or anyone else. (Just to stir the pot a little, I might mention that they are all white). It doesn’t really matter since they grew up with hunting rifles in their hands. There is no doubt in my mind that these people will survive even if help from the outside does not arrive – ever! To the NRA – these are your poster children!!!

Nagin and Blanco can go to Hell as far as I’m concerned. And, the sooner the better!!!!

Tell Wolfie Blitzer at CNN that you found some WHITE folks who aren't getting any help! On the other hand, he won't believe you~!

Bless you and yours and congratulations. One thing about a flood like this - there'll be lots of game. Yum!

Praise God that they are safe and sound. But the mentioning that they are white "to stir the pot a little" was gratuitous and highly unnecessary.

The main point is that they are still on the positive side of the grave, and actually have something worthwhile to reconstruct. Praise God for that, too.

No kidding. That is exactly what my cousin told me. "Don't worry, we won't starve".

And if help comes, it will most likely come from white people!

No racism, just %!

Very glad to hear about your family. As I heard O'Reilly say tonight, those who depend on themselves are much better off than those who depend on the government, any government. Sounds like your family is one of those, and I salute them. It's much better to have control over your own life [even when you are fighting a natural disaster.

As to FEMA, they only have 2500 permanent employees and 4,000 or so they can call in to cover 90,000 square miles. The problem with most people [not saying that is you I just want to get it off my chest] most do not comprehend the smallness of that department nor the breadth of this disaster. FEMA over the years has done so well in these disaster that they are now getting blamed for not being able to do it in such a huge disaster compounded by the second one in NO.

When you talk to your family tell them a lot of people out here are sending prayers.

My next door neighbor (Philadelphia area) drove to Mississippi last week when she found out that four out of five family members' homes were wiped out by Katrina in the Biloxi area. She loaded up an SUV and a trailer with supplies and started driving south.

I get a whole different picture in my mind when I think of New Orleans and the hordes of wards with their hands out, waiting for "the government" (aka, half my paycheck) to come save them. And feed them, clothe them, "take care of" them....

You just KNOW that the next step, after $2,000 debit cards are issued to each of the New Orleans "refugees", that demands for new houses with A/C and plasma screen TVs will come next. Their martyrdom in the press, and therefore with the whore politicians, will go on for years. We all may as well bend over and get ready - - here comes "the government".

I agree with you, that probably was unnecessary. I can tell you that this has been the most painful and emotional week I have ever spent - and, I am not a young person. Every time I rune into the coverage on TV, it seems that this is turning into a racial issue. Unfortunately, I turned it into one myself. I apologize, and I thank you for your kind thoughts.

They have one thing in common at least. Jon Stewart is too dumb to know they were both at least partly to blame for New Orleans.

msmagoo, this is in defense of you, not a criticism of you.

rdb3, I for one am getting sick and tired of this super sensitive political correctness on FR. msmagoo54 is not out of line. Those that are get pulled in a flash. You guys complain that the Republicans are afraid of the MSM and won't stand up for what's right. Well, I suggest you are just as intimidated as they are. Super afraid that some lefty lurker or mole will give FR a bad name. You are letting that fear make us afraid to say anything that has a race connection. That is exactly what political correctness is supposed to accomplish. I say STICK IT!!

...it seems that this is turning into a racial issue.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the CBC is being aided and abetted by the MSM. None of what they are doing is helpful. The outpouring of concern and help is astonishing. That won't get any press. And that's a shame.

BTW, no need to thank me. Your kin is okay, and that's all the thanks anyone needs.

I am terribly worried about this as well. I just don't know what we can do about it. I'm feeling helpless and think that you are too. I am in Houston, and though I feel that we have absolutely done the right thing to help, I am worried about the results in the long run.

God Bless your neighbor.
