The ankle is getting better, thanks for asking. I'm able to do a bit more standing on my own 2 feet, but still can't walk without the crutches. the physical therapist is happy with my progress, considering it was exactly 2 months ago tonight that I did it (I did it on a Friday, but it was the 8th).

The lack of mobility is the major part of my being unable to get to Williamsburg for the rally. But I'll be there in spirit.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cute choice of words :)

Hubby is working that day (gotta take the OT when offered) and I haven't been cleared to drive yet....not that I could make that drive on my own - too many bridges and tunnels and I don't like tunnels.

Yep, since it's crucial to walking, it's one break that takes some major healing before walking on it. It really puts a wrench in the cogs of life, doesn't it?

I am so thankful I have such a patient husband, and one who knows how to shop :)

I was only able to do the back to school shopping thanks to WalMart having electric carts.

Not being able to drive because the car is out of commission is one thing, I've dealt with that before, it doesn't mean you can't go anywhere. Not being able to drive because you can't walk is an entirely different thing, it means you can't go anywhere without beig taken by someone else.

Enough of me hijacking this thread..........my apologies to all.

The link worked okay for me.

If you can find a campus map, Crim Dell is in a straight line behind the Wren building, beyond the Sunken Garden.

Hello!

Sorry the link didn't work for you, I checked it and it appears to be working now.

There are several maps and written directions located on the page I linked to, but here is a direct link to a .pdf map of the campus.

CAMPUS MAP of the College of William and Mary
(This is a PDF file)
http://www.wm.edu/admission/downloads/wmmap.pdf

I'm not familiar at all with the campus so it took me a sec to find it on the map. If you will notice the diamond shaped section of land at the bottom of the map, Crim Dell (#25) is at the top-most point. It looks to be on the North Side of Landrum Hall (#47).

If you are unable to read this map for some reason please send a freepmail to Flora McDonald and I'm sure she will be able to help you get to the right place! (o;

You all are so kind!!! Thank you so much for all the compliments, it really made my day. (o:

Just FYI.. I might not be around much for the rest of the day. I'm trying to cure my computer of a nasty little virus and I'm going to have to do it manually. )o: I'm going to try to get to some OperationHero work left over from yesterday, but it's nearly impossible with my comp the way it is right now... Hopefully I'll be talking to you all again this evening! (fingers crossed)

Hey everybody! I just got in a little bit ago and want to thank you all for keeping the thread bumped!

Some good news:
Just checked my email and it looks like our younger counterparts on campus will be joining forces with us!

As soon as that is firmed up and verified I will post the information on this thread.
