Please sign the online petition to stop the killing of pets in New Orleans. Conflicting reports abound, regarding whether orders have been given to shoot abandoned pets. But just in case it is or becomes true, please sign the online petitions below to STOP the killing:

As far as the subject at hand, the irrational approach of some of you here who put saving dogs as more important than humans... well... such thought is a fundamental philosophy of the left wing extremists in this great country I call home. I suspect anyone who casts their lots with that philosophy as being one of them.
When posting a story or editorial it is important to use the original title to avoid duplication. The title you created has been changed to the correct published title.
Also do not change the source name. The source name you used has been changed to the correct source name.

Since they -only- deal with animals and all their funds are devoted soley to animals, exactly what -human- "resources" are being diverted?

No, it's not 100% left wing. It's an open site that anyone can post any petition to. But even if it was, so what? This isn't about that website, this is about signing the petition for the animals.
But if you're referring to the second page that pops up when you sign the petition (the one asking which things you want to be notified about), I saw that too and thought "oh no, what is this all about" -- but then I saw one of the options is for Republican Party information.

Have you ever checked into how many animals these groups send to animal heaven a week? You should. You may be suprized.
I agree with you there. But I think it should be purged of people who don't have compassion for the animals that we are responsible for. Those pets didn't ask to be locked inside homes or chained on chains that were too short to escape the rising waters. We are responsible for them, and that responsibility includes their welfare, just like we are responsible for our children and our elderly. It doesn't have to be one OR the other.

The whole thing is a bit too similar to the Green Party agenda for me. Save the trees, save the wetlands, save the whales, save the dogs, forget the humans.
