Senator Landrieu on FOX News this morning defended the New Iberia harbor/channel dredging that was considered a boondoggle (as reported by the press) because she wanted it for the jobs it would generate in that depressed area. I was wondering who benefited from doing the work and from the work when completed and what their relationship is to Senator Landrieu and her family as well as to the Democrat machine that runs that state. Did this project line the pockets of supporters and machine members at the expense of those who suffered when New Orleans flooded?
Certainly not the intended projects.
From her Senate page, the detail has been taken down.
Maybe the Levee Board used it for building up the levees.
After watching Landrieu on FNS, I lost some respect for the people of Louisiana---for electing that devious demagogue.
Here it is cached in Google.

NOLA was the reason Landriu won as well as Blanco. With the Rats leaving the sinking N.O. maybe we now have a chance to elect some good people.
If the people of NO don't realize by now that they have been used and abused by the Dems, they never will. These Socialist are a Cancer on our Liberty and Freedom.
Landrieu totally lost it. Laura Ingraham pointed out how the corrupt senator defended the mayor and governor, saying that they couldn't get government workers to work on a SUNNY day. Ingraham's dissection of that remark was quite revealing.
Protecting our Coast, Getting Our Fair Share: Restoring America's Wetlands
A leader in issues dealing with both energy and the environment, Senator Landrieu aggressively fights for Louisiana jobs and continues to guide her colleagues toward development of a national energy policy that will increase domestic production and lessen the country’s dependence on foreign oil.
As a member of the Senate Energy Committee, Landrieu has been an effective and tireless advocate for saving Louisiana’s vanishing coastline and wetlands, demanding Louisiana’s fair share of offshore oil and gas proceeds to stop the erosion and investing in Louisiana’s future.
Stopping the erosion doesn't seem to include stopping flooding to preserve lives and property.
Google will pull or alter it soon, I suspect.
she wanted it for the jobs it would generate in that depressed area.
Somebody should save that from the google cache, before it's cleaned up -- it will just disappear, if it's at all incriminating.
bookmk ping and thanks

Save a copy of that google cache!
If troopers and others had stuck a gun in my face with attack dogs preventing me from leaving N.O.'s. Why would anyone want to return...during a disaster a person is scared anyway then they have to come face to face with guns. Oh please...shoot to kill were their orders.
