No bias here.
I don't think she's running to gain the approval of the Associated Press.

Harris is running very poorly considering how high her name recognition is. I think the perfect storm of voters fearing one party hegemony, Bush's low approval rating and polarization will keep Bill Nelson in office if she wins the primary.

I remember that photo of her on the horse at some fair. Nothing wrong with her image there. Lucky horse!

I've met Katherine Harris. She was nothing like portrayed her.
She was soft spoken, intellgent, and just plain "nice" She posed for us while holding a squirmy baby.
We came to visit her with a bunch of homeschoolers, and she took time to see us and spent time telling the kids the meaing of the great seal of FL.
She wore a very simple Navy bluse dress and was not overly made up. I was impressed with her.

All of these articles about her are horsesh*t.
and many non-Republican voters see her as a flirty, vacant, beauty-queen wannabe
Well dog my cats, non Republicans not liking a Republican. Now thats real AP style news.
The more articles like this that I see, the more I like her.

"Image" is 99% of being a politician. That's a major problem with this country. That's why the Clinton's are always polishing their "images."

"I couldn't tell you one thing Katherine Harris has done in office or stands for or would do in the Senate." McLaughlin forgets she helped "unhorse" the freaking leftist FLA supreme court in 2000.

A photogenic appearance is not a hindrance at the ballot box (people's exhibit one JFK). But it probably is to a antique media reporter who can't find any other material with which to castigate an opponent.

Harris Needs Image Change to Win Seat Nothing wrong with her image. What an absurd assertion to make because she's an attractive female. BRENDAN FAGGINGTON, Associated Press Writer needs a brain transplant.

AP's usual hogwash and wishful thinking and try to do manipulation the same way as dan blather called our State for alGore before the more western timezone Florida polls were closing. We are a red State and we will sure vote red whether it's Harris or another Republican candidate!!!

"That night she was on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" in an appearance many Republicans are privately calling an embarrassment and one that liberal bloggers have had a field day with. She stood at an unusual angle for a television interview her body position and smile reminiscent of a beauty pageant contestant even as hosts Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes talked about how people have been cruel to her."
Unfortunately this is absolutly true. I saw that show. She was sitting with her side to the camera, looking over her shoulder, boobs thrust out, all as if she was posing for a playboy pin-up. Also, she dodged the questions and came off as a complete airhead. I couldn't believe this was the same woman that impressed me so much in the aftermath of the 2000 election.

"If Katherine Harris has any hope of beating U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, she may need an extreme makeover."Image? Looks?? "Extreme makeover"??
Who's more shallow than Democratic shills from the MSM?
To: My2Cents
The lame stream media always does this. When they can't portray a Republican as an evil extremist then they portray him as an idiot. In Dubya's case they do both. It always comes back to bit them.
They did this to Reagan. When the voters found out Reagan wasn't evil or stupid they re-elected him in a landslide.
Their attack on Harris will do no better. When the voters watch her on the campaign trail they will deduce...like so many before them...that the MSM is full of liars.
It is a terrible strategy to take down a Republican candidate because it lowers expectation immediately and even if the candidate proves to be just competent the voters were not expecting much anyways.
The media never learns from their mistakes. They still think they have a monopoly on the truth.

Don't you just love taking political advice from the AP?
Memo to AP: By the time we get to next November, wooden head nelson will have eaten soooooo many poison pills served up by Dr. Frist that the Florida GOP could pull a name out of a phone book an beat him.
