Women do need to get past their natural resistence not to hit.

LOL! This is exactly What the instructor told the girls. He said boys tend to be more physical, but girls are told from birth that they shouldn't hit people.

My Daddy always told my sisters and me that we should act like ladies unless someone is not treating us like one, then he had no problem with our fighting back! ;o)

What I want to see is an update on the Chondra Levy story.

The premiere episode of "Bones" on FoxNetwork last week had a story line that was eerily similar to the Chandra Levy case!

Thanks for the links maggief. After scrollling thru Taylors's blog (referenced in one of those links) I can't help but think of Kristine Johnson. This case unfortunately sounds eerily similar.

Kristine was also a blogger and posted on a messageboard, went missing after she visited a "photographer". Two weeks later her car was found. Two days after that her body was found.

'Person of interest' named in Behl case
Amateur photographer's lawyer says his client saw missing VCU student the night she vanished

BY JIM NOLAN
TIMES-DISPATCH STAFF WRITER

EXCERPT

Collins said his client first met Behl at the beginning of the year when she traveled to Richmond to visit a friend from Vienna, who, at the time, was the photographer's roommate.

Behl and the photographer met again in April, when she visited VCU. At that time, Behl posed for pictures for the photographer, who posted the fully clothed shots on the Web site DeviantArt.com.

The photographer, an aspiring artist, actor, collector of street signs and prolific Web master on the Goth scene, also posted multiple online references to Behl.

Police and Behl's family said there was evidence of a physical relationship between the 38-year-old and the 17-year-old. Collins would not elaborate on the relationship and said his client is the father of two children who live with their mother out of state. He said his client lives off of monthly Social Security disability checks.

When Behl came to Richmond to start school at VCU late last month, she customarily parked her white Ford Escort in the free parking zone on the street in front of the photographer's home, located just north of Broad Street and a short walk from her VCU dormitory room.

After Behl disappeared, investigators were unable to locate the car in its usual spot. Instead, it was found 12 days later, parked on North Mulberry Street in the Fan District, roughly a mile and a half from Behl's dorm room. The car's Virginia tags were gone, replaced by Ohio license plates that police say had been stolen three weeks before Behl's disappearance.

Sources familiar with the investigation said a bloodhound on Saturday was able to track one of the scents picked up from the vehicle to a home a short distance away. According to the sources, police interviewed the occupants and executed a search warrant at the home.

One reason the Natalee Holloway story was so dominant was because of Beth Twitty. Taylor's mother is attractive but not well spoken. She doesn't have "presence" and that really affects the story. Her father was on last night and he was a much better spokes person for his daughter than the mom, but there's just something that's so heart wretching about a mother's grief that makes Beth Twitty so compelling and such good TV. I hope that this beautiful young woman is found soon. I heard that Fawley is from PA. I wonder if they've searched up here where he's from?

I heard after the mom said that that in fact, Taylor HAD given her permission to FAwley to take those pictures. My guess is that no one really knows. They were in no way inappropriate IIRC.

I lived in a coed dorm when I started college in 1972. I found it to be just the opposite. The men were extremely protective and actually functioned as our defense. I lived in an all-woman's dorm the following year and found that all of us were a lot more vulnerable. I would think it depends a lot of the character of the students in the dorms.

A lot has changed in the 30 years since you lived in the dorm. The guys don't feel that way, anymore, and the girls can be just as bad as they guys as far as hitting on the opposite sex, or worse, the same one!

Not that I've heard. I wondered because I live in PA. It's interesting that the tags were from OH. If he was from western PA, then it would be near OH.

I'm sure that what you say is true. A sad state of affairs.
