To any FReeper family in Texas escaping the Hurricane Rita path my wife and I would like to extend to you the use of our home to share while you get settled.

We can sponsor one family.

Only problem is we live in Hampstead NH but if you can make it here we would love to extend some Northern hospitality.

Its not as good as Southern hospitality but we will try.

Please mail me if you need help.

We're in SW Ohio and can provide two private rooms on the third floor (shared bath and kithen in single family home) currently with a queen sized bed and one love seat. Have also a 2 couches and floor space.

Husband is allergic to dogs, but we will take a cat or two if they can be contained on the third floor. Oh hell, even if they can't.

Children are fine, but the house is in a constant state of construction.

I have 3 empty bedrooms. Can take dogs (no cats). I'm in Orange County California, so I doubt it will help. Freepmail me if you are interested.

My husband and I have a 3 bedroom home for rent that we would let a family use no charge for a couple of months. It is in Dublin Tx, around the corner from my home. Has no furniture, but I have extra furniture I could put in it. Would love to help a family in need.

My employer, Outback Steakhouse will be very involved with helping out first responders with food, and basically wherever and however we can.

Have them send me some coconut shrimp! Don't forget the dipping sauce. :)

We have a Port Arthur FReeper that is looking for a short term rental - house, apt, even a RV - for 2 -3 weeks.

It is for 3 people - him, his daughter and his mom.

His Internet access is through the library so I will act as a temporary intermediary. I FReepmailed him my phone number, but I don't know when he will be back online to receive it.

I know him in person (as do other Houston FReepers) so I can vouch for him.

Serious offers can FReepmail me.

My family has a small trailer near Corpus that is not being used. It is a one bedroom, and has a fold out couch in the living room. There is also a pond on the property that has some nice Bass. TV reception sucks, but the DVD player works just fine.

I have one bedroom apartments that we can work with people on in Waco. We can work with non violent breed dogs and cats under 30 lbs. Unfortunately I don't own them, so they are not free. I can work with rental under 400 per month though. We have had luck with many groups so far. The red cross helping out some families financially that we have placed. Call me directly at 254-772-2058 or send me an email through free republic. We will try to help where we can.

You guys are too kind...getting choked up/teary eyed here sitting in the library and drawing stares!
Now I've got to explain else they think something is wrong.

God is great, the folks in Palestine are gracious hosts and FReepers are fabulous!
Library time is short and I've got to run. God bless all of ya'll.
I'll get back as/when I'm able.

Flyer, thanks so much. Could you pass on the pertinent info to those interested?
Tom, I'll be calling this evening so you'll get the low-down firsthand. And my heartfelt thanks to you and yours as well.

Keep in contact as you are able and we will have ya fixed up when you are ready.

To all y'all that have offered help - Phil will be staying put for a few days, then will check in with Eaker and TheMom for some generous offers from them. Thank y'all so much!
