Haley doesn't look his best in that pic either
but he has been "on the job" over 3 weeks
I don't know what Hil's excuse is.

Exactly. I am willing to give him the benefit considering what he has had to deal with.

The other one looks like she has a tank under her seat.

I have never understood the perfect, perpetual and complete pass she got from the MSM. No other politician in America, male/female/black/white/rep/dem, ever got or will get the kind of wholesale and immediate indulgence from media and voters she (and her 'husband') have received and continue to enjoy in this country. Just let one public official of ANY stripe try one tenth of what those two did, and we will see what happens! Nothing in my memory is comparable to that. It will be interesting to see how historians explain the national 'blind spot' Americans have for these two.

I think Barbour may be a good shot for the GOP.....The more I learn about him, the more I like him.

I still honestly don't believe Hillary will make it out of the primaries....people keep forgetting that she's NOT Bill Clinton....she doesn't have half the personality bill does, and quite frankly is rather cold and unlikable, and is rather polarizing.

A Barbour/Edwards race would be interesting.....although it could be seen as a contest for who has the thickest accent.

I agree with you, I like George Allen, I also like Mark Sanford, but I worry our ticket in 08 will be McCain/Allen or Giuliani/Allen. I would still vote for both possibilities, but I would prefer a conservative at the top.

I am open minded about Haley Barbour.

I think that we can be surprised about what the Democrats will do, but for now, it appears that she has a firm grasp on the East Coast big money. But you are right, just about anything can happen between now and then.

:-) I am amused with the idea of the Breck girl running again. The haughty, French looking Senator from Massachusetts who by the way also served in Viet Nam also appears to be positioning himself for another run.

And Al Gore surprised even James Taranto of OpinionJournal.com when he ran an effort to help the victims of the hurricanes. Maybe he can be a voice of reason. Probably not. But if he ran on a platform similar to one that he used when he was running for the Senate, he would be a better contender. He's a wack job, but he would be a better contender.

Barbour/Guiliani, or the other way around.....either is a formidable ticket..

The last president to come out of Mississippi was Jefferson Davis. It's about time for another...

She gets a pass because the charges against her and her husband were a strain to the credulity of the MSM. Now, many of the charges were likely valid, but the Clintons appeared to understand the dynamics of old style politics.

She kept files on people. No doubt she did this to secure her own situation.

She is vulnerable to anyone who doesn't follow the old practice of leveling charges and demanding an investigation.

She is not quick to think on her feet.
She has a limited sense of humor, especially as it pertains to herself.
She has limited skills in persuasion. Her tactic to date has been to "yell" at a man and then create a situation in which any response might be seen as beating on a woman.

Except she doesn't factor in wit, charm and class in her opponent. Likely she doesn't know what they are.

Haley Barbour has proven he has strong leadership qualities.

He's no whiner either. Just getting the job done and helping his citizens with their storm disaster.

Contrary to the popular consensus, I think we could fill the Universe with she doesn't know. Her whole persona is one gargantuan snow job and with the complicity and affirmation of the MSM in the US, she has succeeded in passing herself off as erudite and professional. I believe she is neither. I don't see ANY originality or resourcefulness in her thinking, she has NO imagination and her style of expressing herself is lame and dated. She is very predictable and her delivery could not be more abrasive.

Oh I agree.

She is vulnerable because she is really very limited. And she exhibits none of the warmth of a real personality.

Face it, the Left in America has had NO new angle for donkey's years. How many ways can you sell racial discrimination and exploitation of labor, etc....?? Unfortunately, the spin the MSM has put on fed. assistance to survivors of the storm in NOLA will 'refresh' the old Leftist fairytale of how badly minorities in America are treated. However, that would only have credibility if we can make persons with low IQ a protected class, then get the NOLA survivors who would not leave after repeated and clear warnings about the magnitude and direction of Katrina to admit that they are in fact 'stupid beyond belief'.

Friend I WILL NOT vote for Rudy G under
ANY circumstances.
If it's Rudy and Hilary I'll stay home
or vote third party.

Morning Smarty,
Shrillary is nothing less tha a commie, left wing radical who wants to disarm law abiding citizens.

As a POTUS, she would leave the hard working American disarmed, and at the mercy of her commie thug voters, per the likes of the La superdome.

Shrillary was great defender, of the POS anti-American blackcat-panthers duing her early years in college.

This abomination of a "womyn" is the equivalent to the contents of,"Pandora's Box."

If ever elected all us white&black conservatives who have worked hard/own guns, will be the focus of a commie left promulgated, domestic terrorists purge.

The only thing savvy about shrillary is her seduction technique for other womyn and uncompromising ability to prevaricate without a blink.

The klintoons should be serving time in federal prison,

Surely we don't have to bring up old treason to puff Gov. Barbour.
